I thought Miranda was pretty enough, but something was off. I don't know what went wrong in the design process because the voice actor she's modelled off is beautiful. I still think Liara is hands down the best looking character in the game though.



The fact that we have so many differing opinions is credit to Bioware.

Two thinks wrong with Miranda: nose too wide and the back of her head is flat. I'd like both fixed for ME3 please.

I dumped Miranda and went for Jack and let me tell you - Jack is better in the sack....

Liara in Mass 2 looked like she hasn't slept for about a week.

It's the whole uncanny valley. We know who Miranda model was and the digital art just isn't there yet. It's much easier to render as ass than a face.

LOL! No , they modelled Miranda's face after her Voice Actor Yvonne Strahovski as a tribute to her.

I agree with the OP. Jack's face is far more smoother and I find her stunning. Not many ppl can pull off the bald look. Miranda on the other hand looks really off. I don't know if it's her half smile or her hair color, but something's off. Yvonne on the other hand is beautiful. I don't know what's wrong with Miranda.

Personally, I think they are both ugly, and that I am glad I roll a girl. All I know is, when I roll a male, hes romancing Tali.

The character looked odd to begin with, but it grew on me.



Jack pulls off the bald look pretty well, and the tattoos are beautifully done imo.



But Miranda is still pretty...

I think her skin is too pale in comparison with her hair. It seems like she was definitely meant to be a blonde. I thought she would be more attractive blonde (after seeing the original concept art shots of her as a blonde).

Her face is a little strange though. Definitely lacks the realistic detail of VanderShep's face. Seriously though, I agree that it looks like they had trouble getting her face worked out. It just is a bit off and pale.

I think she looks lovely. Although her lips look a little thin, but so does everyone else's. I think it might be because they didn't full model lips so there isn't a back side to them, and they look weird. Maybe I'm over thinking this also.

Yvonne Strahovski's forehead is slightly higher, her cheekbones less pronounced, jaw slightly less wide (though that part is close, so might be closest within perimeters available) and she seems slightly more gaunt in her cheeks. Miranda is close, but just a little bit off towards the "big headed" direction (though that does fit her selfconfidence). So I think the modeling of Miranda is done well, but the result could use a little bit of "streamlining", even if that makes Miranda look slightly less like Yvonne.
