She hits uncanny valley pretty hard. They modeled her 'too exactly' and so she has a 'more human' face than the others, but the graphics engine/technology isn't there to render it perfectly, so we end up with her face looking a bit lumpy and weird at certain angles/in certain lighting.



I just place Yvonne's face over the creepy near approximation in my mind, however, and all is good.

might be something to do with my fairly shakey pc and its graphical abilities, but there is some pretty heavy gaps between the realistic looks of the cast. Some are helped by the virtue of being alien, but they Zaeed is one of the better rendered folk. Miranda kinda needs bad lighting or she looks a few computer generations old.



Still, none of them quite compare to a custom made face. The dialogue between shepard and samara is really odd as the alien looks all but real and the human looks entirely fake.

I agree, they haven't done it right. Miranda is still hawt but I think they screwed up a bit....
They need to add a blonde toggle aswell, lol

& tbh I'd be quite offended if I was Yvonne Strahovsk

Strange because I've never seen such pretty face and body in a game in a while. Heh I might even say that I can even accept her skinny body with those flawess breasts and distinguished/ellegant tiny-winy ****** (sorry I had to add it it just comes to my mind every time I see her in her fancy-looking suit that underlines her body).

I would probably find Jack more attractive if she weren't covered in tattoos, piercings, and makeup, and actually decided to take a shower once in a while. But yes, Miranda is not remarkably attractive considering she's supposed to be some GM superhuman. Her teeth are like Yvonne Strahovski's, for example, someone who is not superhuman, nor even as attractive as a person can get. What's even funnier is that she's not even more powerful than Shepard, someone who is ostensibly not modified at all, although they cover this in the game.

Also, perhaps it's just me, but I think a super duper genetically enhanced woman who was also in special forces and continues to rely on martial prowess to survive would at least have visible muscle definition, or at least spend more time doing drills rather than conditioning her hair.

The point is that, as far as we know, Jack was not genetically modified from birth like Miranda was, and yet she has a more attractive face by default, despite Miranda being specifically engineered to be attractive.

She is a biotic.  Also when was she in special forces?  She has always been more of a commander/brains/leader type than a grunt.

That is a matter of taste I find Miranda's face much hotter.  There are women who think Brad Pitt is ugly also.  Aesthetics are hardly universally defined.

personally i think miranda is far hotter than any other character, in either game, and is an awesome LI.

They clearly tried to get the likeness to Yvonne right, but IMO the jaw and chin areas are too square and while she is still hot thats the area that doesnt quite make her perfect.

Take a look at the picture of Miranda on page 41 of the strategy guide, and then tell me that she is pretty.

The problem with Miranda's face is that it's too wide. She might be based on a real person (and the resemblance IS there), but her mouth is too large and her face is oddly proportioned. Just narrowing it down a bit would go a long way to drag her out of the Uncanny Valley...
