 The way i kind of hope it goes and it seems to be heading that way is that to beat the reapers your going to need a pretty big fleet or at the very least make some pretty big sacrifices. It seems that with the rachni, krogan, quarian and geth plotlines that depending on your actions ie rewriting geth, saving rachni queen, quarian war etc youll have quite a few possible allies to choose from or very few depending on the course you took. It would be pretty awesome to have a combinmed rachni geth armada plus a ship with reaper tech as theres no way i was gonna blow up that station at the end. But if somebody killed the rachni queen blew up the geth convinced the quarians to go to war and alsi destroyed the reaper station then what allies would be left really? while mass effect 2 is amazing the series still hasnt quite fuffiled its promise of having choices drasicley effect the overall plot but it really seems that with the choices they set up in 2 that they will finnaly do this in mass effect 3 as while ME 1 had many smaller choices the ones in 2 are almost all very significant.
