I'd never take a Batarian to my team. I hate those f)uckers!

Just a hanar, any hanar.

A volus biotic god who rides an elcor spectre. They could be the first duo squad member...
But I think it would be really weird having a volus, hanar, or elcor squad member. Just they way they would move around and such, lol.

I vote for the entire volus team.

Shepard dies at the beginning of ME3, forcing Cerberus to rebuild him once more. But when Shepard wakes up, he finds his brain/mind has been implanted into the body of a volus.

I think a Batarian squad member is almost a must for ME3. If a Geth can become part of your team, a Batarian isn't a great leap.
I would say a Vorcha member may eve be possible.

Can't wait to see him go renegade then.

Why not just put back Wrex (if kept alive) as DLC and the same for Ashley/Kaiden for ME3. I miss Wrex!

I'd love to have Aria as a squad mate in ME3. She could always join Shepard's team after a more powerful character shows up on Omega and takes control away from her. That could even be the focus of her loyalty mission. Shepard helps Aria take out the new boss of Omega to gain her loyalty for the main mission. Heck, she could even me a LI.

If I had to put money on a new squad mate: Batarian. Most likely female and a LI.
Having a stereotypical Volus on board not as a squad mate but as shipmate to track down finances would be extremely valuable if you went against Cerberus.
Speaking of shipmates that aren't squad mates: a Hanar fighter pilot and his adopted Drell daughter (and fighter's mechanic). I can just image the Dell as a LI and the Hanar has a bit of dialog about he trust you with his little girl but he compares and contrast the amount of force Hanar tentacles can produces vs. the amount of force required to snap a human's neck.
While going out there: a Volus riding an Elcor as a heavy weapons platform: walk 10ft, wait for the Elcor, walk 10ft, wait for the Elcor, walk 10ft, wait for the Elcor, walk 10ft, wait for the Elcor......
But let's face it all the possible squad mates are probably on the drawing board.

first of all I want Shiala from zhu's hope. A batarian wouldn't be that bad. But what I would like to see is a rachni squad member

How about a human reaper? I hear they can make good pets if properly trained/fed.

About friendly Reapers, you already have something close to one - EDI runs on Sovereign's hardware
I'd like a female turian teammate.

- A Batarian "freedom fighter" who has turned away from the movement
because they have shifted focus to civilian instead of military targets. - A powerful biotic volus (for real this time) in a mechanized suit
(maybe even with a glass faceplate, so we can see what a volus looks
like. - An escaped (or assigned, if you went renegade) Cerberus prototype, a strong and intelligent Vorcha.
- One of those really buff Salarians like on the cover of Redemption #2.
- An AI implanted into a heavily upgraded and armored mech.
- Aria T'Loak
- Kal'Reegar
- An actual Prothean warrior who was somehow in suspended animation for 50,000 years
- Finally, an Asari who doesn't have biotics and thus wasn't allowed
to live out her dream of being a commando, so she dedicated her life
and brilliant mind to becoming incredible at tech abilities. She would
have a quirky steampunk style (it would actually be cyberpunk I guess,
but cyberpunk isn't normally quirky), maybe wear goggles. The only time
she takes her goggles off would be the love scene, revealing piercing
violet eyes

I always though Zaeed would have been more interesting as a Batarian, instead he's just a bit of an A-hole with a weird Australian accent (no i'm not implying all Australian accents are weird)
