I think a Batarian squad member is almost a must for ME3. If a Geth can become part of your team, a Batarian isn't a great leap.
I would say a Vorcha member may eve be possible.

I hate batarians, I would need an option to execute my squad mates, but a vorcha would be cool

i definitely agree with having a Batarian, especially if you were a paragon for ME2 and were nice to all of the Batarians you met. i think it would be an interesting dynamic because Batarians have a much different morality system than most of the other species and there is a lot of conflict between Batarians and Humans. i think that especially if there is some recruiting of species to fight the Reaper invasion a Batarian squad member is a must, need to work with Batarians through some semi-trusted ally.

i really want a Volus, Elcor, and Hanar on the ship. i don't know how well they would work as squad members, but they would be great as crew for the Normandy. They need to be interactive to the extent that Joker, EDI, Kelly, engineers, Dr. Chakwas, ect are, otherwise it would just be window-dressing. Recruiting them for your crew could possibly even bring new upgrades, weapons, and shop bonuses. i'm not sure about having something like a loyalty quest for each of them would be necessary, but it would be interesting. It would also give a chance to learn a lot more about these other species.

Another Quarian would be interesting, especially if it was an outcast.

i never thought about a female Turian, but from Garrus' stories it seems like they are reasonably common in military positions. i think having one would be interesting.

Having a Vorcha would be interesting, but i don't like the idea of having some super smart one. i think it would be much better if the squad member was instead a squad of three vorcha that fought as a unit, with each vorcha being less powerful than your other squad members. They would be really good at being diversions. How to control them would also be an interesting dynamic. They would also be vital for any mission dealing with poisonous gas leak or disease outbreak (though it would need to be pretty original to not seem like another mission like Mordin's recruitment).

i also wonder if they are planning to make Joker a playable character, obviously as some biotic. Need to find a satisfying way of dealing with the Vrolik's syndrome, though. From the sounds of it, acquiring biotic powers through exposure does NOT heal tissue but often damages it (cancer and other complications).

While it may be interesting to find a Prothean in stasis and have them as a squad member, it may a little bit of jumping the shark.

Ixnay on the batarians and vorcha, unless they are optional. No paragon Shepard of mine would have them on the Normandy III. The renegades would though.

I'd like to see female turians, krogan and salarians, though I don't know if I'd necessarily want them as squad mates. I think the ME3 squad should be highly varied depending on your previous choices, for instance, if you saved the rachni queen in ME1, you have the option of having a rachni squadmate, and if you saved Wrex and Ashley/Kaidan, they can be squadmates, etc. I also wouldn't mind if there are different squadmates based on your morality score, such as Liara if you're mostly paragon and Aria if you're mostly renegade, and so on.

With the Lazarus technology, there's also the possibility that previously-dead characters can come back (unless they died on Virmire, probably), so maybe even someone like a non-evil Benezia.

Really? Is it just so you can try to kill him?

A REAL Paragon Shepard doesn't judge someone by their species. What makes the Batarians that different from the Krogan or the Geth for that matter?

Personally, i'd like to see the particular female turian Garrus "blew off steam" with. If she can take Garrus, then she's definitely a force to be reckoned with. Not only that but i'd like to see how awkward he is when after i've romanced him i recruit her haha, oh that would be so funny......

On a more serious note though, I just want a more diverse crew. Since my shep is no longer working with Cerberus i'd like to see different species on the ship other than humans... I don't necessarily need them to even talk to me, it would just seem a bit more realistic to me....

Right, there's a lot of conflict because Batarians are exactly like humans had been not so long ago ;)

About friendly Reapers, you already have something close to one - EDI runs on Sovereign's hardware :)

I'd like a female turian teammate.

Isn't just the drive-core and some other smaller system sovereign-salvage?
The Quantum-Blue-Box seems like tech from humans/other organics.
I remember hearing about reaper-parts in the Normandy SR2 in the game...if I could just remember in which place so I could replay it.

Would be nice to see female equivalents of Garrus and Mordin and perhaps have Shiala or Aria as the token Asari commando (or even the Omega bartender), but it'd probably be at the expense of having either Garrus, Mordin or Liara as a squad member. And a vorcha squad member would likely be at the expense of a krogan one, as the main feature of both is there regenerating abilities. Can't see there being a Rachni squad member...aren't the normal rachni not really individually sentient? A Batarian (maybe even a reformed Charn from Bring Down the Sky, if you didn't off him) would be interesting, as would a Collector perhaps.

Definately want to see a lot less humans as squad members. Annoying amount of talking monkeys (to quote the film The Prophecy) on the crew this time, though it'd be nice to give Gianna Parasini the chance to play in the big league rather than waste her time arresting spoiled Asari or for entertainment value have a biotic god Conrad Verner.

I want Tali, Garrus, and Kal'Reegar. It'd be awesome to get Wrex back, but somehow I think his story has written him out of the squad. Mordin and Thane would be great as carry overs as well, but I am planning on killing Miranda because she pisses me off. I wish I could pistol whip her.

A Vorcha who will tell me "Back! I kill you!" everytime I go near him. Or "Shisk" (I believe was his name) in short.

Aria, although it seems unlikely she'd leave her Omega but still I want to see more of her. Or that bartender on Illium. Didn't she say something abot "singularity"?

A female Turian and Salarian are what I really want to see in ME3, even though not necessarily as squadmates - but I wouldn't complain at all.

I definitely want to see Thane and Garrus as squadmates in ME3 and Legion, Tali, Mordin, Miranda in game with important roles. And Wrex too of course.

Another Spectre, any alien race is fine. If would be cool to have a fellow Spectre on board, so far the only ones we've seen were Nihlus (spelling) and Saren. The former was dead in a few minutes and Saren was a bad guy.

Spectre as a crewmember for ME3, please.

!. EDI. As squad member. (inspiration from Andromeda)

2.All good team mates from ME1 except Wrex. I want a Krogan army against the reaper.

3.Someone said earlier about a smart and strong Vorcha, I couldn't agree more.

4. The Hanar spectre.

5. The Biotic God.

6. An Elcor that is strong and super fast.

7. Baddass Zaeed.

8. I hope the chearleader die and the fotball jerk also. Leaving room for better people.

I toss my vote for Batarian and a female Turian..I just can't imagine the female turian voice, same goes for krogan female.
