I'm undecided at this point. Kelly is great and Liara pissed me off with her lack of romantic content (her personality was fine imo).

My Shep canonically romanced Kelly in ME2, but I doubt Kelly will be around in ME3 much, if at all, so I doubt I'll have to choose. She also doesn't seem to count as cheating.

If I did have to choose, though... Tough call. It would depend on meta-gaming experience and knowing how much each one gets.

ok I totally understand....she is the oly character that COULD sway me off Tali, I romanced Liara as well in ME1 as you know (we discussed such in the past in the old forums) but honestly  she pisses me off SOOOOO bad in ME2 that all I want to do is tell her to stick with his drell frogprince and don't bother coming to find me....or better yuet not even do her second sidequest at all and let her assistant kill her

Don't get me wrong, I love the hell out of Kelly. She's sweet, funny, attractive and quite emotionally stable. She just seems like the Laura Palmer of Mass Effect.

I didn't cheat.

Liara clearly isn't interested in addressing the relationship with Shepard at this point, given her dialogue. My Shep and Liara are on a break, so my Shep finds solace with Kelly as Liara (read: BioWare) gets her **** together.

oh no, not cheating THAT way, cheating meaning you would choose only AFTER knowing who gets the best romance in ME3

Did she actually do that though? Saying "Oh, I think Garrus is cute" is different from going down to Garrus' hole in the gunnery station and trying to seduce him.

No, she didn't. She is just open with her affection as it helps with her job as the ship's psych counselor.

The only one she actually flirts with is Shepard, though she does "talk" to the other squaddies as part of her job in evaluating their minds.

I was j/k, I'm actually very fond of Kelly.
I'll be doing a playthrough where she's my LI anyways, so I really hope it carries over to ME3.

I hope they include her as a love interest in ME3, and I hope they keep her cheerful (I worry because we saw a hint of repressed darkness after her rescue). Not all of your LIs need to face a tide of swarming enemies by your side, some can show their affection by feeding your fish.
