So my g/f been playing Dragon Age at her house, She doesn't have the internet at her house so she brought her Harddrive over to my house, than downloaded her dlc and what nots, played a little. And later when she went back home, she tried to play and it wont let her play. It says cause she has dlc, that she can't play now.

Is this like the arcde games? Where it has to be downloaded on the same Xbox for it to work? Or will she really NEVER be able to play her games again. ((note, there is like NO way for her to get internet at her house))

(also, the arcade game thing I mention is, when you download some arcade games, they get attatched to the xbox you download them on, so even if you take your harddrive off and put it on a different xbox it wont work. it has to always be played on the same xbox.))

i also brought my 360 to my bro's house to dl the content, but when i go to my place and play, it says the content is corrupted. (i brought my system here to dl, not just the hd.) so do i actually have to have some sort of internet connected to my 360 to play the dlc? if so, that'd be very very .... disappointing. :(

that is really ****ing stupid that bioware would do that to us... We pay them for dlc, we give them money and they screw us over in the end.

She should have brought her 360 to yours instead :P

You could always use the liscence transfer tool to give her box the DLC but you will lose it yourself

( otherwise she will need an active net connection for the DLC to work on hers )

I don't play Dragon Age, it's hers. It's registered on her hard drive, with her xbox live account and gamertag, with her online account for this site. I have my own which is different, I use for Mass Effect and what not.

I'll gonna have her bring her 360 over later this week and will see if we can get it working, but I don't have much hope.

Yeah. The 360's copy protection goes by profile, hard drive, AND profile information from the console itself. I've had the same problem in a lot of cases.

my understanding to this is that the internet connection has to be working in order to play DAO only if your have the DLC. Ive noticed everytime i play it contacts the DAO servers in order to verify that my XBL account has actually paid for the DLC... in theory, if you bought the DLC, saved it to your hardrive then say for example took your hard drive to a friends and let him play DAO, he would benefit from the DLC even though he hadnt paid.
