it's a bit ridiculous huh? everyone else is wearing smooth looking things that look like they can deflect bullets, but you have this checkerboard thing on.

plus, the heavy armor you wore at the beginning of the game is unvailable to you. what if you really like that armor?

-merc helmets...why was this taken out of beta? oh, that's right...they probably want to sell it to us via dlc.

-the tube connected from the back of your armor to your helmet, it looked damn cool. the new armor is missing this.

-pauldrons, like i said, the old smooth, organic looking heavy armor pauldrons are damn cool. now we get some huge, uninspired looking things attached to our shoulders.

-leggings. are they kidding me? did their art department get replaced by a chimpanzee? these new robot pants look horrible.

bottom line, give us the old heavy armor(the one we use in the beginning), and kaiden alenko/the merc's helmet.

I agree, the armor department could use a bit of an upgrade. I mean, you can't fall much lower from where it is right now...

Shepard has this battered trash can thing going on, while some other characters are apparently tough enough to expose bare skin on planets with surface temperature around 100C. I would like a CHOICE when it comes to armor, not to be forced to wear the same suit the entire game (that "locker" the armor came from - I am sure it was just disguised trash bin). Yes, we can get some of those DLC armors and yes, some of them are quite acceptable but without removable helmets... don't get me started.

yes, that's one other thing about the armor. they seemed to have been visually dumbed down for the "cool" factor.

people wearing clear surgical masks in a vacuum...
