Only reason I saved him in the first game was because Ashley was talking trash about my buddies Garrus and Wrex so I decided she deserved to die in a nuclear inferno.
When I saved Kaiden, I threw him on my shoulders and if you look real closely it looks like Commander Shepard is touching his ass.
Then in the second game, I saw Kaiden on Horizon and he was whining about how I didn't call and how he would've followed me to the end.
It didn't make Commander Shepard seem outright gay, but it did seem a little bi-curious.
I would've saved Ashley but her bigotry was pissing me off. It would've been nice to touch her ass instead though.
Did anyone else feel a little gay saving Kaiden?

xD You should have sent Kaidan with the Salarians then before you saved him. No ass touching there.

just pretend you're having a bromance with him.

Because homosexuality is just soooooo weird and needs a thread about one potentially slightly not-masculine HAR HAR action, amirite?

Admit it. You're the one who forced him to wear the pink armor in ME2.

I wanted my Shepard free and single for the ME2 for my paragon playthrough, so when my Shepard was snapping at people after Horizon, I got some serious homosexual vibes from that.

I would love it if MShep could have Kaidan as a gay option!

I honestly found it weird when he said that having me gone was like losing a limb.

no. in the seven playthrough i've done of Mass Effect 1...
i've killed Kaiden in every single one.
why?
i call him "Generic Man".
seriosuly nothing stands out about him - to me.
Ashley was more interesting to me than Kaiden was.

HAR HAR!
Erm, anyways, there's no one, not a single soul who saved Kaiden. For Kaidan, it's another story.
But yeah, the reaction was more like... something I'd expect from a brother.

Well ironically Kaidan's best moment is his death scene. It was stellar. Strangely his worst moment is if you make the opposite choice. Very whiny.

I like that you can talk to Kelly about Kaidan's appearance after the mission, too. And you can reply the same, 'I miss him. I only wish we had more time together...'
Hot.

If you were ever in a situation where a firefighter or police officer had to carry you to safety, would you care where their hands were?
If you want to feel more heterosexual about it, Kaidan was an officer, powerful biotic, and trained as a tech and medic. He was valuable to the team. I'm sure that's cold comfort to Ashley's mother and sisters, though.

I wished I could have killed off BOTH of them. I kid.
but seriously, ashley had more balls than kaidan. and no, I'm not willing to look under the armor to find out whether i'm right or wrong.

Haha good point, not to sound stupid though, but after everything they went through I would be really offended in Kaiden shoes too. I mean out of the characters from ME1, Kaiden is the most justified for being up with Shepherd not getting in contact with him. He was with Shepherd since the beginning of ME1. Plus after saving the Galaxy, I am sure he felt really close to Shepherd.

Didn't annoy me as much as Ashley, plus Ash was hitting on me so I decided that I must be fair and avoid image of judging by sexual preferences when it comes to missions.
So I left Ash to die.

I saved Ash because she was always talking about how she has this big family, whereas Kaidan just kept droning about this one time at biotic camp

I pretty much always had Kaidan in my squad, and I liked his personality more than Ashley's.
Hopefully he'll see reason.
