No inherent flaw? Did you miss the whole 'unable to live without her suit' thing? Image IPB

That's not a character flaw... it's a physical disability.

There is the fact that she is blatantly biased against the geth, and romance or not, will argue and yell at Shepard over it. That seems like a bit of flaw.

I hated Kaidan and left him to die on Virmire on each of my 5 runs, So I never got to see this scene.

Everything about him screamed bad character to me. I felt bad for him about Jump Zero, but he basically used that as his crutch to existence. Whereas with Ashley,Shepard really cared about her problems/fears/concerns.

Kaidan's flaw is equally physical, if you really want to go there. Both their personalities stem from their physical issues. Both their physical issues create problems in relationships. The only difference is that Tali's problem risks her life. Kaidan's risks hurting others.

Kaidan's flaw is being overly cautious. It may have stemmed from his biotic abilities, but it is still a character flaw.
Tali having to live in a suit did not lead to a character flaw.

Why are these threads about how much Kaidan sucks filled with people comparing him to Tali???  Can't people just hate him on his own merits, and leave their fantasy faceless chick with the mature body and little girl voice out of it?

You're joking right? Tali's having to live in a suit resulted in multiple character flaws. First she talks too much to overcompensate for the fact you can't see her facial expressions through her helmet. Secondly she's also overly cautious due to the fact even a single screw up could hospitalize her. That carries over to her emotional relationships as well.

Give me an everloving break. Whenever there's a thread about Ashley or Kaidan, you always go in and talk about how Tali didn't leave Shepard yaddayadda.

Kaiden dying on Virmire is a good end for him, and it actually adds to his character. If you save him, he just whines, in ME1 and ME2. If you let him die, he dies a hero.

Wow, this thread is such a headache. Kaidan has high respect for Shepard, m or f. If it's gay to show friendship or respect for a beloved COmmanding officer, than you guys are just saying that you are insecure with other men showing friendship or affection. That just says something about you not Kaidan.

She said that Tali fans are thin skinned and called her a Mary Sue.  Yeah, that opened the can of worms, but what is the point of trying to compare the characters???  People who like Kaidan may or may not like Tali, but I doubt any of us think that Kaidan and Tali have anything in common, or feel the need to compare them.

Letting Kaidan lay there and die on Virmire instead of running the risk of picking him up and accidentally touching his butt reaffirms that there's no way I might be gay

Hey I wasn't complaining that Tali was brought into the conversation. I was just correcting the notion that a Tali fan was the one who opened that door. Image IPB

And I've only brought up Tali in conversations concerning team that joins vs. ones that don't. It's a valid comparison, whether you care for it or not. But I try to stay well away from the Kaidan appreciaton threads. (Heck I stay away from most of the Tali Appreciation threads....)

Kaidan is a whiner? Apparently a male showing any sort of emotion = whining. Garrus is a whiner, too. Always complaining about his dead team. Damnit, get over it man, my mission is more important! [/sarcasm]

He's boring? Apparently not or you people wouldn't have so many stupid things to complain about.

I don't know why I even try though, you'll hate him no matter what I say.

Yeah, right after that scene I went online and just stared at pictures of naked ladies for an hour or so. It made me feel rather gay.
