Ok, I am sure that you all are tired as hell of reading those posts calling for a Mass Effect movie, but I believe this question warrants some consideration.

Suppose they green lit a project depicting the escapades of Commander Shepard in the game(s), which would you like to see?  A Mass Effect Movie or a Mass Effect Mini-Series?

What are the pros and cons?

Who would play whom and why?

How could they best portray the events in Mass Effect?

Discuss.

My Views:

Mini-Series, because they can go deeper into the rich universe and story that has been crafted by the good people at Bioware.  I believe that they should use the default  Shepard (the one on the box, as for who should play him, your guess is as good as mine) along with his psych profile and personal history.  Why?  Because he is the face of Mass Effect.

Now before you fans jump all over me with the "He's not the real Shepard!" argument consider this:  If he is not the real Shepard, then why show him at all?  Why have him in the commercials and on the box art?  The customization, while great (I have like ten custom Shepards of my own), just allows you to make your own experience, but there is a story being told by Bioware that we are given the opportunity to manipulate.  I, for one, would like to know what the "Official" Bioware story is.

Your thoughts?

What does this have to do with classes, characters, and builds?

If they make a movie, it shouldn't have Shepard in it. It would cheapen everyone's game experience as no-one plays the same way. They could explore other things, like how TIM got to where he is, the first contact war with the turians, et.c...

1. Wrong Forum

2. If they made Mass Effect "movies" they would have to be a collection of shorts about secondary characters. Half the fun of mass effect is choice, you don't get that in films.

that's what i feel.

Show me the Krogan Rebellion.
Or the Rat Kids that live in the air ducts on Illium.

But the last thing i want to see is Shepard running around
doing things that i would never have her do.

That would tank the thing right there for 76.8% of the people
who saw it, and who also played the game.

So, yeah i'd watch something about this universe,
just leave Shepard out of it.
