The lips and cheeks look forced on BioWare's framework. At first glance....she seems malnourished, with some lip enhancements. And she doesn't look like a soldier.

Tell me...what does a soldier look like? Facially, I mean - describe the physical features of a soldier from the neck up.MuisicAllie wrote...

It's a logical absurdity. Attractive people can choose to serve too. Maybe Shepard's one of them.

Making a pretty and 'realistic' FemShep is by far easier than making a handsome and 'realistic' non-Sheploo male. Males have awful jutting cheekbones to gaunt cheek ratios, beady eyes, and sad choices in noses and mouths. Why all male Shepard lips need to look like they're chapped within an inch of their life I will never understand.

I found it faaaar easier to make a believable (and even attractive) female face than a non-Vander male one at least.
Males have a terrible selection of mouths and noses.

Though I agree that they could've spent more time on the default female face, didn't like it at all. But I'm pleased with my dark soldier woman.
The thing is though, whilst Bioware may improve on the character creation bit of the game, they will never give a flying monkey's about making the default female choice look good. Its all about the big male hero saving the galaxy with his "handsome" manliness. Of course.
We can certainly wish for it to happen though so...*prays*

No if you're in the military you automatically become ugly.

Isn't the default femShep modeled after Jennifer Hale?
