Here's mine.  Redhead is my 2nd femshep and 2nd play through and the blonde is my 3rd play through.

Default manshep is modelled after an actual person. As are all/most of your party members and some NPCs. Default manshep and those NPCs aren't created using the system we're given to create custom faces. For example, you could never replicate default manshep's appearance with custom manshep creation.

I'm surprised I didn't see anyone else mention this unless I missed it, but FemShepard has horrible looking eyes if she doesn't have mascara on.
I don't know if they changed that in ME2, I never checked. In ME1, everytime she tried to close her eyes they never shut all the way and looked like they rolled into the back of her head.
I've always had a problem with lips for them too. From the front they look perfectly fine, but at a side view the lips always look like duckbills.

One thing that'd be nice if they change was being able to get a better view of your Shepard in the creator, turning their heads further to the side and zooming in closer to the eyes when you choose the eye color.

Changing animation back to like the ME1 walk/run/jog animation too.

The lips and cheeks look forced on BioWare's framework. At first glance....she seems malnourished, with some lip enhancements. And she doesn't look like a soldier.

Tell me...what does a soldier look like? Facially, I mean - describe the physical features of a soldier from the neck up.

It's a logical absurdity. Attractive people can choose to serve too. Maybe Shepard's one of them.

That's Hollywood stereotype/architype of what a soldier is or even the video game genere of any shooter type games.
That person just can't accept something different.

No if you're in the military you automatically become ugly.

Making a pretty and 'realistic' FemShep is by far easier than making a handsome and 'realistic' non-Sheploo male. Males have awful jutting cheekbones to gaunt cheek ratios, beady eyes, and sad choices in noses and mouths. Why all male Shepard lips need to look like they're chapped within an inch of their life I will never understand.

I found it faaaar easier to make a believable (and even attractive) female face than a non-Vander male one at least.

Males have a terrible selection of mouths and noses.

Pretty much the consensus I came to. Attractive/realistic femsheps are far easier to create, especially ones that are based on celebrities. It's not impossible to create an attractive male Shepard but you have very limited facial features. Specifically eyes. In an attempt to make myself, the first problem I ran into was the eye shape selection. Since I have large oval shaped eyes (which would would be 2,6 or 7 for female sliders) I was SOL.

Male eye shapes are a huge problem - I agree. It would be a huge improvement if you could change their angle and horizontal/vertical dimensions.

You should definitively be able to make a rugged female Shepard if you wanted too. And Christmas Ape yeah a soldier should look fit, healthy (in other words not malnourished) and as if looks shouldnt matter too much to them. They could be naturally attractive of course but thats not what this thread is asking for now is it?..Ahh yeah and no make up that one is a no-brainer. Now im not saying there arent soldiers who wear make up it just seems impractical.

I also hate how female Shepard's arms look like twigs in this game they dont exactly look like the arms of a female athlete.

Isn't the default femShep modeled after Jennifer Hale?

Though I agree that they could've spent more time on the default female face, didn't like it at all. But I'm pleased with my dark soldier woman.

The thing is though, whilst Bioware may improve on the character creation bit of the game, they will never give a flying monkey's about making the default female choice look good. Its all about the big male hero saving the galaxy with his "handsome" manliness. Of course. :P

We can certainly wish for it to happen though so...*prays*

I tweaked my femshep for a 3rd run of ME2. I've beat it twice and now here's a sidy by side.  Subtle changes.  I think the 3rd one is better.  More filled out face. file:///C:/Users/WHISKE%7E1/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot-3.png

I love both my FemSheps faces, I think they look pretty realistic. I went for a custom made for my ManShep too because I really think Sheploo's face is pretty boring (IMHO).

And do not forget that besides they being all ugly, all female soldiers use short or even bald hair cuts.

Maybe a little but not really. You would think though.
