As we all know, with Zaeed there is only one room on the Normandy that has yet to be opened: the port observation deck. There's a good chance we'll be getting one more squadmate as DLC, so for fun, I'm challenging everyone here to use their imaginations and create the person they would like to see fill the last room in the Normandy! After the official revelation, we can come back and see who guessed closest to the real deal.
The rules are simple:
Include a title "Veteran, Professor, etc"
Real name
Race
History/Personality
Powers
Loyalty mission
I'll start:
Title: "The Gunslinger"
Real Name: Dahc Weserum
Race: Batarian male
History/Personality: -Skilled sniper and sharpshooter.
-Experienced special forces operative and duelist.
A former batarian special ops sharpshooter, Dahc was involved in early undercover operations in the Verge against Alliance expansion. "Plausible deniability" teams were consistently sent to sabotage Alliance military forces over the years. Specific details of these teams is, unsurprisingly, scarce and difficult to obtain. No concrete proof of Dahc's involvement in these operations has been found, but it is confirmed that Dahc Weserum was part of Hegemony military operations during the 60's-70's and that, following the batarian retreat into their own space and abandonment of the Verge, Dahc began working as a freelancer and vocal critic of the Hegemony and Alliance.
Dahc Weserum can best be described as a cross between Wrex and Joker. Like Wrex, his favorite pastime is gunfighting, his best friend is a large caliber weapon, and he's a patriot that still feels dissapointed that his side lost. In stark contrast, he's very similar to Joker in that he's cocky, good-spirited, and always has a sarcastic joke or two ready to fire. He's a ladies man... er, batarian, and would constantly be making passes at Miranda, Samara, Jack, and Tali. He loves a good bar and drink almost as much as a pistol. "Cowboy in space" pretty much covers it. Dahc is obsessed with firearms of all types - he collects any he can get his hands on, from modern mass accelerators to ancient powder-based weapons, from every race in the galaxy.
Dahc is the classic example of the individualist. While once a loyal Hegemony member and patriot, following the events between the batarians and humans in the Verge he discarded all ties to politics and civilized galaxy. He feels that the Alliance is made up of greedy, know-it-all upstarts; the Hegemony is filled with corrupt fascists that abandoned their people and endorse terrorism because they don’t have the spines for a fair fight; and the Council is a bloated, ancient clique for the asari, turians, and salarians to keep themselves on top. The Terminus Systems were a perfect fit for Dahc after the Verge. Dahc values individuals, not groups. Even so, there’s still a part of him that wishes things had gone differently during his time in the military, and he silently hopes for a revolution of the batarian government that might let him go home one day.
Weapons: Heavy Pistols
Sniper Rifles
Powers: Warp
Throw
Unique Power: Sharpshooter: Increase health, weapons damage, and chance of critical hit. The evolved version would be either
“Master Sniper”: Dahc aims his shots to vulnerable areas on an enemy, causing his weapons to do extra damage to armor, shields, and barriers.
“Duelist”: Dahc’s experience in close-range gunfighting allows him to improve his survivability. Reduces recharge time of powers and reload time for his weapons, and increases his rate of fire..
Loyalty Mission: In the last days of fighting in the Verge, the Hegemony pulled out of the area, abandoning its outer colonies and the civilians within. Later, the Systems Alliance would pressure these colonies to abandon the Verge by supporting raider and pirate raids. It was the suffering of these people caused by both the Hegemony and the Alliance that bred Dahc’s distrust of government in any form. Still feeling guilty about leaving an outer batarian colony in the hands of slavers and cutthroats, Dahc would request traveling back to this colony in an attempt to free the people. While there, Shepard and Dahc would see how the colony had become a slum, barely kept in order by a ruthless gang leader. This despot would reveal that while he was harsh, his gang kept the other pirates, murderers, and rapists in line. Eventually, an old-fashioned showdown in the middle of the colony would culminate in the moral dilemma:
Kill the gang leader, freeing the people from his control, but plunging the colony back into chaos and letting the murderers, rapists, and slavers run free?
Spare the leader, forcing the colony to continue to live under his rule, but maintaining the little security the citizens have left?
Loyalty power: Trick Shot. Dahc/Shepard, fires a guaranteed critical head shot on an enemy. Ranks 2 and 3 would allow them to rapid-fire 2 and 3 bullets, respectively. The evolved version would be:
“Rapid Shot”: Dahc/Shepard unload all the rounds in their current thermal clip into an enemy.
“Improved Trick Shot”: A critical head shot that penetrates the first layer of defense on an enemy..
