I downloaded the game from EA and every now and again, I find myself getting stuck on items or just floating in mid air. Generally its when I am hugging a wall or trying to get around an object. How do I fix this issue? I cannot get out of it unless I reload the mission.  Even my team gets stuck in mid air with me... well at least I am not alone. But still this is very annoying and has caused me to play a lot of content over.

Thanks for any help.

Atm theres really no way to fix it :S. Keeps happening to me on one of the secret missions where you investigate a crashed alliance warship (spoiler whatever, as long as you find the planet lol) and there are so many times you can get stuck with small walkways and need to reload. argh, totally feel your problem.

Same here, stuck in the air in Morinth's apartment. Only way to fix it is to start the mission from scratch.

Not an uncommon problem for many in lots of locations. Quicksave a lot until they come out with a patch!

Although it's not a total fix, the following can be used to see if it helps you out of the issue. I've used it on a number of occasions to get unstuck and it's worked well.

( Name="Add", Command="Ghost | OnRelease Walk" )

Use the editor or manually edit the file (and add the binding keyword to it) to add this to the defaul controller configuration. With this correctly added, if you hold down the numpad + key (Add) you will go into noclip mode and can strafe around and move forward and backward with whatever keys you defined as movement keys through any object. Reach a safe (or just an unstuck) place, release the + key and return to normal walk mode.

This is currently the fastest known metho to escape the bounding errors that cause this crap without a reload. But again it may not work for all situations but it does work for some.
The editor I mention can be found here:

There are also tools that do nothing but rebuild the file after you edit it if you just want to manually edit the file, which is Coalesced.ini. You can not edit that file with a regular editor as it contains binary / formatting codes that define its structure and it needs to be rebuilt so the structures have the correct data lengths recalculated for changes you make.

It's almost impossible to turn out a really detailed game like this without some bugs. I have had this problem, but since I program I understand how hard it is.  That said...

There is absolutely no reason I shouldn't be able to do a quick fix using toggle collision mode instead of having to redo the whole scenario. There's a good reason to be able to use the console and it's to fix the inevitable bugs and clashes that happen; it is incredibly limiting and completely asinine for the console commands to be locked out.
