Cross posting here from the question I have submitted on the official Support site incase anyone else is having the same issue:

I have recently purchased DA:Origins Deluxe edition through Steam. The
game has installed successfully, but on trying to run the game I get
the message "Error initializing PhysX. Please visit http://www.nvidia.com/physx
for updated drivers". I have ensured I have the latest drivers for my
graphics card, the GeForce GS 7900, but still get the message. Any
assistance would greatly be appreciated. My computer meets all the
specified requirements for DA.

As far as I am aware the 7900 doesn't support PhysX and so consequently has no driver support for it. I will keep this up to date with responses from the official site, but in the meantime if anyone else has any suggestions that would be appreciated!
