I prefer being human, but if I had to be another race in the ME universe I suppose I'd be Turian.

I also like being male so Asari is not an option, the Salarians are far too short-lived, and the Batarians are hideously ugly and live under a repressive regime that reminds me of North Korea. I also wouldn't want to be Quarian since they spend most of their lives aboard ships and in envirosuits, and being a Krogan wouldn't be fun since life for them is rather harsh, and their species is dying off. Besides, who needs Quads?

The Jellyfish and Volus also don't appeal to me either, and I don't know enough about the Drell. It does sound as if the Drell are second class citizens on Hanar worlds however, so the Turians are more appealing.

So, I'll post it anyway . The universe in ME2 seems a lot more diverse to me than in the first game, but the aliens still seem to fall mostly into neat little social subgroups. So, I pose to you the question stated in the title.

I think I would be a Turian myself, I like the play style that our squadmate, Garrus, represents: justice no matter the cost or method, especially if it's down the scope of a sniper rifle. My alignment would be rena-gon, split down the middle, inherently good but not afraid to get my hands dirty to make sure the badguys get their due. Weapon of choice would be the viper semiautomatic sniper rifle (because it's just fun to plug shot after shot into an enemy in slow-motion).

Asari.  Live 1,000 years, have powerful biotics, have mind meld ability.  Seem to be able to be anything - can be a good scientist/soldier/whatever.  Nothing else even comes close.  Krogan live a long time, and are tough as hell, but they don't seem to be the brightest bulbs in the world and their culture is tiresome.  Even if I like fighting, I don't want to belong to a culture that glorifies nothing else.  Borrrrinnngggg

Well, clever elcor can get the kinetic portion of their translation computers hacked to make their emotional qualifiers be whatever they want.

I chose Elcor, because I somehow like the idea of having a government that just works ... I'm just saying . Btw elcor soldiers are mounted heavy stationary weapons on their shoulders, not the worst thing considering how dangerous the galaxy has become recently.

I'd be a Geth, but only if I had 1000+ programs in a really awesome mobile platform of some kind... like with racing stripes painted on, and blue glowy bits everywhere... oh! Also, a shoulder mounted mass accelerator that shoots little heat seeking phasic rounds and a telescoping optic sensor.. I'd be, like, a heavy weapons expert with skill at disarming explosives and hacking...



Yeah, unsurpassed hacking skills... like, I'd hack into the Council's e-mail accounts and sign them up for Asari/Hanar pron just for kicks and I'd pal around with Legion and we'd become the deadliest pair of Geth mercenaries in the galaxy!...

Krogan. A true cause worth fighting for in their survival. Simple society based on strenght and pecking order. No need to worry about being considered over the top or short tempered. Plus with all the benifiets of being a krogan I would kill any other spieces that got in my way.

This one wishes to become a hanar, swimming in the vast ocean seems to this one as a lot of fun. As an added bonus, this one might obtain the role of Blasto in the coming movie.
