if you remember in mass effect 1 the story was great the characters were great the Feeling you got from playing it was great.
But now mass effect is a shooter with barely any rpg elements no side quests and the game only feels complete at the last mission. the combat felt more tactical in mass effect 1 and it felt complete throughout the story. in mass effect 2 the story is okay and from the start it felt half done. maybe i am just pissed but mass effect 2 doesn't feel like mass effect
I will never play mass effect 3

All these things were great for me in ME2.
Yes, a ton of the RPG elements get traded for shooter elements. Probably down the road this will weaken the replay value for me. Still barely lights a candle to the raging bonfire of the great story and characters we got.

Looks like your not supporting Tali for Mass Effect 3 then.

I felt ME2 has more tactical options than ME1... in ME1 my teammates are usually too dumb to understand my command. So, yeah, maybe you're just pissed.

I am sorry you don't know a great game when you play one. ME is an ActionRPG not an RPG. Go away now.

ME2 had a combat system that rivals AAA shooter titles with the things that really matter about RPGs: story and characters.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed by the reduction in RPG elements, but I still enjoyed ME2 greatly.

I loved ME2. well i still do. and i love ME1. Same series but different game. Where does it say a game following the series has to be EXACTLY THE SAME? please show me.. I can honestly say I would be dissapointed if ME2 was the same. It would just be an ME1 clone and not ME2 right?

Sorry to hear that. How much exploring did you do of the in game universe out of curiosity? Your claim of there being no side quests reeks of something only someone who rushed through the game without bothering to stop and smell the roses would say. There aren't as many as there were in ME1 from what I can tell, though not by much if you include the N7 missions, but you'd have to be blind to miss them.

You're loss, nobody will miss you. Don't let the door nail you in the butt in the way out.
Oh and : Mass Effect 2 is 500x more tactical than ME1, sure it has a little less RPG elements but it makes up for it in every other area.

I came into this thread afraid the poor guy had some terminal illness and wouldn't survive to the release date. Inside, I found that he's just whining.

RPG elements? You do realize RP stands for role-playing--which the game is firmly structured around. You get choice and customization. Looting and inventory management are not RPG exclusive.
Also, nobody cares.
