I feel sorry for the guy now. So much passive-aggressive bashing.

if you remember in mass effect 1 the story was great the characters were great the Feeling you got from playing it was great.
But now mass effect is a shooter with barely any rpg elements no side quests and the game only feels complete at the last mission. the combat felt more tactical in mass effect 1 and it felt complete throughout the story. in mass effect 2 the story is okay and from the start it felt half done. maybe i am just pissed but mass effect 2 doesn't feel like mass effect

Cool story bro.

I came into this thread afraid the poor guy had some terminal illness and wouldn't survive to the release date. Inside, I found that he's just whining.

+5 paragon, sir

I came here to watch OP whine over some minor detail.

Your loss.

This is the bridge in the trilogy, it's almost always the weakest instalment in terms of plot.

They did tone down the RPG elements a lot. I actually went back to play ME1 after years apart. I die ALOT, the shooter aspect of ME2 is more main stream, forgot you actually have to play this like an RPG!

No sidequests, really? Darn, I wonder what all those N7 missions I did were...nope, they couldn't be sidequests because the OP says they don't exist! *sarcasm*

It's funny there's supposed to be less content and somehow I ended up putting in more hours of total gameplay on the first run through then I did in ME1..... Hugh...

Yeah, my original ME1 playthrough was 18 hours. My original ME2 playthrough was 36.

Also, ummm... Why would someone even make a thread like this? Cool. You registered your game just to tell us you aren't going to play the conclusion. >.>

Don't see how ME1 was more tactical, just was replaying it and I didn't use cover once, sure my shep was lvl 60, but my lvl 30 shep in ME2 still had to use cover, plus teammates were smarter in ME2.

Eh, I thought the story was kinda lacking too. The only real story progression happened was when the Collectors were involved: Freedom's Progress, Horizon, Reaper IFF, and the finale. Everything else (which was maybe 90% of the game) just kinda focused on preparing for the finale, and was like going through a grocery list.

Now that being said, the other factors of the game like character interaction and combat made this game worthwhile, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
