So I'm playing a "renegade" Soldier MShep at the moment, recruited Samara, Jack, Mordin, Grunt and Garrus. Did all side missions so far along the way, but no loyalty missions yet. Any time I can I choose the renegade option, but a lot of times it's just not there to choose, so I'm forced to go with neutral. Now, I have no idea why this is the case, but I have almost equal Paragon/Renegade points. WTF BioWare? This guy is a NG so all the ME1 stuff that supposedly happened should have set him up as a Renegade. Yet here he is being 'forced' into a Paragon mold! Am I right in thinking that it's BioWare's intention that Shepard should be played only as a Paragon? And the whole personal history crap that SHOULD make him Renegade is just a lie? I just had a conversation with someone, choosing all Renegade options, and 1 "neutral" option, and afterwards I was rewarded with +2 Renegade and +2 Paragon!!!!! Damn I hate the railroad nature of this game. Why didn't BioWare simply make a movie trilogy is I have no say in the protagonist's character development? I can only hope (as the fate of many hangs on my being either Paragon OR Renegade in this sequel.
