My guess is a few days before. Knowing its Bioware, and knowing 9 out of 10 times their games/addons what have you seem to always get at least one delay. I fully expect it with Awakening. Posted Image

hehe I'd expand it to Canadians as well but the bookies in Vegas may get mad and send someone to break my legs or something. Posted Image

BaH!

This is made of FAIL...

Because EU/AU players of PS3 are getting a download only...

And the release date is not on a Thursday when PSNetwork updates...

There already has been a delay... you FAIL...

Oh, wait, AU? that's me... Posted Image

Don't worry. It's Sony's fault. Somehow.

Considering I'm in the US and don't play DA on a PS3 am I expected to follow the release schdule for the ps3 and/or Europe?  Not that I don't understand your plight in having to wait longer than north american customers, I agree that does suck. I wasn't aware the EU release was digital only though thanks for that information Lakmoots.

Well, you have a PS3...you failed as soon as you made that choice. Buy a 360, it's the only system which has stood up. Not saying they didn't trip up at first, but the problems were fixed quickly. PS3 isn't even fair to start naming its flaws (mostly price for useless features and terrible online play) and the Wii is only a success with selling its consoles. Most major games don't even come out for the Wii considering its horrible track rating. So either buy a 360, buy a PC, buy both or sit in a corner a whine while we enjoy the games.

I'm still saying there will be no delay, nothing seems to indicate it at this point in time.

the whole process of getting a rating from ESRB and manufacture box copies takes at least 5-6 weeks, if that's the case Bioware should have done with the game by now.

Strictly speaking, isn't the last month preparations and boxing of the game? It would be unwise to send the shipments, so if we expect a delay, we need it now!!

Umm... and this is the part where a BioWare dev comes in and says "What, you people have no faith in us?! You are right, we delayed!"

Sorry, it's just that... after the... years of delay of DA:O and the heard stories of delays of RtO (also seen it delayed), I can't think too much positive.

The game should be finished and on its way for sure. That does not mean a delay won't happen.

SHHHH!!!!!

Damn it. Now you have spoiled it. Bio will have to inform us of another tragic occurance. It will probably involve space lobsters. Evil ones.

ps3 online play is fine. i've never had bull**** with it. the x360 dies more than any other machine on this earth. i support his choice. it's the better one in the long run. (note: my 360 has not failed yet). i enjoy my PS3 games. don't assume to know whether the same games aren't enjoyable with another joypad. what the hell.

All the versions will be delayed about a week before the release date, to about 2 weeks later, and the PS3 version to TBA. TBA being of course at least 1 month later.

I really hope for no delay. This is the first release date for a game that I have ever become excited about, I would not be happy if the day were to be ruined by some silly delay.

Delays are good. If they delay it, that means it gets more time for things to be fixed or polished up.

Maybe we'll get lucky, they'll release it for a day or two before recalling it when they find out the game actually contains a flesh eating virus that will kill the player... so at least a few people will get to play it on the release date... even if they do die.

I think they know that Awakening is more important than RTO and wouldn't have announced a date 2 months before the release if they weren't quite sure about it.
I'm happy that the first real expansion is coming so soon at all, four month is a very short time for a RPG addon. Even if they delayed it another week or two, I wouldn't be angry at all.

Except when delays happen during printing/distribution phase, which means the game is closed and nothing can be changed in it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a day one patch for Awakening.
Anyhoo, already paid for Awakening so I'll be disappointed if it doesn't arrive on time.

Yes patches can be worked on whilst print/distribution is in progress... but it still means the game ships with bugs :(

So, how is the betting coming along?

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the expansion is mostly done already is currently finishing the QA rounds for various platforms and will be released on time.
