I have the Steam DDE version of the game. Is there any way to change my save game directory?
I have my computer setup for an OS drive and a Programs drive, but certain programs like DA:O have slowly used up most of my OS drive with their save games.
What was once a glorious 40GB just for Vista is now a paltry 6GB.
One run through on this game gave me 900MB in addins, 600MB in saves, and 60MB in Screenshots.

Really, so no one thinks this merits a response?
Apparently, being able to choose your save game directory or directory for DLC is too much to ask.

+1, I have "My Documents" redirected to a Network Share, and would like to stop DA:O from writing to that location.

depending on OS the only thing you can really try is changing the location of my documents folder to another drive. I'm not sure there is anyway to change the save directory otherwise.

/bump. Had windows crash on me twice now due to a hardware error and lost both games I started due to this. I could have had the save games default to my data partition instead.

I am also looking for a fix to this, I like having my games on my portable harddrive so that way I can play where i want. I tried editing the daoriginsconfig xml file but it wouldn't change a thing.
