This is just a theory but it may work.

I finished the game at least 4 times now with many varying endings, but one that I've always had screaming about through my head has been to have just about everyone BUT Shepherd survive.

So after searching around the net and such I found an interesting video explaining the "Easy" way to get the "No One Left Behind" achievement and I noticed that he had 2 disloyal squad members.  He made it out with everyone alive thanks to his ship upgrades preventing the first 3 deaths which are regardless of loyalty (obvious) and the rest of his survivors were based on his choices.  Seeing that he didn't pick his 2 disloyal squad mates for anything such as role leaders or tag alongs they never got involved with anything that would kill them and because he had a large group covering his back before the final boss they all made it out.

Now here's my theory....

What if someone were to use this same method (keeping the disloyal alive by disuse) except choose the two disloyal squad members to tag along with you go for the final battle??  I'm assuming that whether they live or die after the Human Reaper dies and collapses the platform is based on they're loyalty.  So if they die there would be no one readily available to help Shepherd back onto the ship because they have all been on board for a moment and have probably secured themselves to a seat incase of emergency.   Since Joker isn't strong enough to pull Shepherd back on board he'd have to fall.

This is just a theory, I'd have to start a whole new game because lately I've had an all or nothing loyalty crew or I've had my 2 tag alongs survive the boss.

But if anyone is in the position to test this theory readily, please inform me :D

If the tag-alongs aren't loyal they die when stuff falls on them and you die too. If one is loyal then that person can save you.

I'd have to see proof of that because ive never seen them both die without the party at the door also dying
