I sucked in the vid, tbh.
I didn't use the Claymore correctly at all.

Its a 4 minute video. I can't find any good 64-bit video compressers with the quality I want, so its a big file.
If you like my vids I can tell you the program I use when I get home. I can't think of the name right now for the life of me.

I think someone mentioned this earlier, but walking forward a little bit after a charge is crucial if you want that double damage melee bonus. You have to be really close to get that bonus.
edit: I'd like the name of whatever program you are using sinosleep.

Works for me and you did pretty well tbh except you forgot to reload the claymore sometimes. I do that too, which is why i don't like the claymore anymore. I prefer evi and scimitar for this reason. Also, you should try flamer vs scions its killer, much better than any shotgun.
Oh, i know HWs are better. The Avalanche is there just to make my back look good.

Claymore showed its weakness against the Harbinger. Having to
constantly run after each shot isn't as fun as hammering away at it
like you can with the Evi and Scimitar.

Actually, I run for safety reasons. Harbinger cannot be stunned and I hate dying. I had enough of that in Mordin's recruit mission. If you watch the video on how to correctly use the Claymore, you can fit that in and fire faster than an Eviscerator if you want to be risky. The Claymore trick is the reason why I don't see a point to the Eviscerator.

I use fraps to record, any video converter (yes that's the name) to compress and upload to youtube. Using windows 7 64 bit.

Ah ok, thought you found a new program, I'll check out that converter though. My frame rate bogs down to 20 or so with fraps, am I the only one with this problem?

Is fraps set to rip full size or half size video? I set mine at half size since I'm going to compress it even further so there's no reason to rip full size video. Otherwise it could just be your rig, how old is it?

I upgraded for Oblivion so its around that old. Still runs mass effect fine normally, but I may have had it on full size.
RamenC I can't do more then 30 seconds of fraps at a time either. But if you use the frame rate as a timer(It's higher without fraps and turns red when you record, or so it does for me), you can just pause the game and hit record again, then use Windows movie maker(free) to put it all together to one movie.
Thats how I did it with my vid's. (Though since it kills my frame rate I had to put down every option to make it playable.)

You're a beast Rumination888. My plays are a little (by that I mean a lot) more chaotic. That was smooth, like Shep didn't even break a sweat.
I'm going to look into Fraps. I want to video my Grenade version of the platforms. It involves one grenade per tile and then Charging to knock the Collectors off the platform.

This seems to happen to me far too often for my liking unless I'm being more careful with my timing rather then just charging whenever it's ready.
Edit: suppose we all also have slightly different upgrades at this point which might matter.

Its not perfect and I tried to be as reckless as possible, but its more entertaining this way. In case you are wondering I did let that harbinger spawn.

However, I think that build is impossible, since you can add points to Pull only after having at least 2nd tier of Shockwave. So it's probably Shockwave 1 and Pull 0... or some game save editor was used
Edit: hmm... seconds late
Yeah, my bad, did not realize pull had to be unlocked<_<. It is Shockwave 1, Pull 0, squad Cryo 10.
At the moment I am back on the Claymore bandwagon, but Evi is a close second for me. For the final mission, I removed Cryo and maxed Shockwave for the Husks encounter and gave one to Pull.
Watch Thane closely (try at least 720p version) from 0:39 on
at 1:51 there is a really weird effect with Harbinger+Charge, PC re-booted shortly afterwards.
So I went at it again and these 3 videos cover whole sequence of that particular fight and it also clearly shows "unable to Charge" bug, and also "bad Charge" bug (Shep does Charge, but actually does not move at all!) Annoying.

I've noticed that some of the vanguard videos use the barrier bonus ability instead of reave or an ammo ability. Does barrier actually help?
I didn't use it for the collector video since sinosleep didn't have it in his, I wasn't even close to dying so Barrier probably wouldn't have helped. On one of my geth vids, I actually would have died if I didn't have Barriers up.
I find ammo powers pointless with the claymore and scimitar(one thing people haven't mentioned is that Incendiary Ammo actually recieves a 0.8 damage multiplier on Insanity due to duration loss).

Pointless? I've actually swapped back to incendiary ammo and when I post the vid I've got sitting at home you'll see why. Charging a group of 3 and setting all of them on fire while you kill the first is invaluable. Sure, they would all be dead in short order regardless, but the fact that they are too busy trying to stop drop and roll to shoot you is a great defense.

I missed this earlier, but what is the Claymore trick and how does that make it fire faster than an Evi? Also how are ammo powers worthless, without inferno or AP getting through armor is much harder.
Also did anyone watch my video? I made it for the 10 guys in this thread pretty much
