Can anyone explain how this is possible? Mod probably?

it is pretty clear that he removed the cooldown by editing the .ini files. You call this awesome? It is pathetic cheating imho.
Not to mention he plays on Normal or something, definitely not Insanity.

Hey folks! I'm not sure if this has already been posted in this thread, but I just wanted to share this fun little trick with the Vanguard community.

If you happen to be using Area Charge, as I am (though I'm about to give Heavy Charge a try), you can decimate groups of husks with a single charge once you've stripped their armor. *this works on Insanity Difficulty*

On the IFF mission, I took Mordin with me, who has Incineration Blast, and I would just kind of run around or wait for the husk swarms to cluster together, then have Mordin Inceration Blast the group, and immediately charge into the cluster, wiping out droves of them without using any ammo.

If you're feeling particularly dangerous/cheeky and have your biotic cooldowns maxed out, you can even charge into a group of husks, which will blow them back a little bit and hopefully draw more husks closer in to your position, start backing up a bit, and as soon as your cooldown is up, have Mordin Incinerate Blast and then recharge in.

Anyways, I really wanted to pass this information along as it is super super satisfying killing groups of those annoying husks solely with the blast from your Area Charge.

Kudos on this thread btw man. Very useful info here. I think I may have to start another Insanity Vanguard run after this one and go with a different squad point build, as mine is quite different from the one you recommend (which sounds awesome btw).

I will say folks, if you can get used to headshotting out of Area Charge, it can be extremely powerful inside large groups of enemies. Really tricky though and requires many deaths to get used to =/

Again, thanks for this thread! Thanks to everyone for posting other useful tips on here too. Glad to see that the Vanguard community is strong and thriving =)

Looks like we have a similar problem.

Lol, I was watching that vid and was thinking to myself 'That would be a nice opportunity to charge... Oh, and to charge here and then there... Charge. Charge dmn it!' So, you're saying it's an illness? Is it curable?

And, can you imagine having both - Charge and Cloak on the same character? I know it would be sooo overpowered but still just to have some fun... 'What? You didn't see me charging?' ;-)

BTW. What's the title of the song in that vid?

Nah, I'm the Senior IT Architect for my company though, so I get away with crap others would get fired for. (sometimes)

Well pretty cool either way. Don't get fired over a game though that would be bad.

Heh, I wouldn't really do it anyway. But I may set my background to one of the Vanguard Thrash videos.

If his IT department is anything like the ones I've worked in he spends at least 5 out of 8 hours doing nothing. May as well play some ME 2 during all that down time.

Be hard to tear myself away from the game i think lol. Gives new meaning to save and save often if you had to leave your comp for any reason or to go to a site and repair a comp lol. This is a complete off topic question but what type of schooling have you had to be in IT. My dad has a 2 yr degree and i think he works sorta in IT but i've never asked him his official title. I did a lil bit of college and am just working right now so contemplating going back and IT sounds more interesting then the Engineering i tried in my college stint lol.

Hah.  You have our helpdesk nailed... Unfortunately that 5 hours I'd spend doing nothing, I spend in meetings ><

Has got to be better then working website support and taking calls from idiots that have never used a website that requires you to log into it.

Hey guys, just got an e-mail from Christina Norman and it's just as I suspected: Evi is very much the Claymore light and does x1.25 to armor shields and barrier.

Thanks for the info bud.  Just curious, and I'm sure it's somewhere else amongst these 24 pages of posts, but what is the magnifier for the Claymore?

I was really liking the eviscerator and so I picked up the Assault Rifle weapon spec in this playthrough...I may kind of be regretting that now though =/  The one super-shot shotty may fit better with my playstyle.

The Claymore is also 1.25x every defense.

It's also x1.25 vs. armor, shields, and barriers.  The Katana and Scim are x1.5 to shields and barrier, but have nothing against armor.

I guess you could say Evi is the Claymore's little sister.  Yeah, you all heard me right.  I always picture the Claymore as my big ass bad boy gun, and Evi...  well, it just sounds like a girl, and I love it so it makes sense.......

Yeah it can be weird going back to other classes after playing the vanguard. I've made an infiltrator, adept, and engineer since my vanguard but the engineer is the one that's stuck out as the most fun so far. Drone allows me to get in close the the smg like I used to do with the shotty. Not as fast, but it's still fun

Looks like we have a similar problem.

Don't have a video, but I've been activating adrenaline rush and sprinting at people with a shotgun. Its kinda like charge I guess.

I thought the Evi had x1.5 to armor, nice to have that cleared up.

3 cases of Vanguard Syndrome...

I'm real happy about the Evi.  For a bit, I thought it was going to be x1.5 vs. armor and no shield or barrier, but being "Claymore Light" is the way to go.

I've played a soldier pretty much exclusively through ME1 and 2. I've got the soldier down to a T, but after seeing biotic charge and some of these vids I really wanted to try it out. I made a few on insanity but it just really wasnt going well. Then all of a sudden it just started to click on my latest try. I started destroying everything in my path and I have to say the vanguard is extremely fun.

There's definitely excitement there that no other class can get by charging behind enemy lines and blowing them away with the shotgun or barely escaping from what would have been a sure death just in the nick of time. I'm still somewhat early in my playthrough but it seems like with every upgrade and level I'm able to pull off more and more stuff. So kudos to you bioware for such a fun class :)

Maybe I'll figure out how to capture off my 360 and make some videos later

.The shields that come from charging are useless; its the grace period that comes between the shields and the health that is invaluable. Temporary invulnerability. Of course, that can go to hell if you get stunned...

Shield refresh useless? Um, Did we play the same game? That shield refresh is the only thing that allows you to charge 2-3 people at once and not get annihilated.
