any idea's which heavy weaopon is best for me to use on a scion? ive not unlocked the cain yet, but im level 30, got grunt and miranda with me though
You'll get different answers to this. Some people like the Collector Beam because it eats up armor pretty well, has perfect aim, and just keeps blasting. I take the Avalanche because where there are Scions there are Husks. I hate Husks. The Avalanche will 1-shot them and when It's just me vs. a couple Scions, the Scions don't stand a chance. Unless they're on platforms. Hate those guys.
Edit: Stupid platform Scions. Hate 'em.

That guy actually hasn't played ME2, you can see in the thread he posted about "The Good and the Bad" or something.
Anyway I want to see more videos!!! I don't care if they don't show anything new. I still want to see vanguard crushing blue suns, and working garrus recruit mission.
I have some vanguard crushing blue suns. here it is
Goddamn...
That was amazing!
I've always been impressed with your vids, but that's my favourite. I've never solo'd an enemy with fully charged 3-stack defenses like that Blue-Suns Commander (Shields/Armour/Health).

quick tip here for all you vanguards out there, as soon as you can get to illium go to the map shop and buy the pylos nebula map. go there and do the mission, should be really foggy and against geth, so miranda and zaeed/garrus recommended. you pick up a 10% dmg reduction upgrade there, which should be your third, this then unlocks the hard shields upgrade (sheperd's shields take 20% less dmg) which greatly increases vanguard survivability. hope that helps some of you.
Seconded. It's the one of first things I buy when it opens up.... if I'm not broke.

Now to my question: How big is the difference between Hardcore and Insanity, I am just about to get to the Collector ship on Hardcore and finding it really fun but I would like a little more challenge.
Also a question for people with the so-called "Vanguard sickness" I read about earlier, has a cure been found yet? I'm worried I might have gotten while paying a visit to Horizon.

It was challenging, but pretty easy. I used Barrier to be able to get close without dying, and blasted everything at point-blank with the heavy shotgun.
I don't understand why so many people complain about the Claymore, it kills normal enemies in 1 or 2 shots usually, with Inferno or Warp ammo. Its only downside is that you have to be practically right in the enemies' face, but that makes it more fun. Biotic Charge is good for closing in for a Claymore shot, too. Of course, be careful to not charge right into an entire group of enemies all at once, they'll kill you very quickly, even if Barrier is up.

I just beat ME2 on Hardcore with a level 30 Vanguard. He had the Claymore heavy shotgun, and Barrier for bonus power.

If you are going to try it again on Insanity, just remember that Barrier only gives you about 1 more second of life... Hardcore is a good achievement though. Couple weeks ago, no one thought it could be done.
