I had no problems except for collector ship which there is no strategy to win you can only get lucky, die 100 times and maybe once you'll beat it , but have no idea why or how you did it just plain luck, that part sucks there is skill involved.
sorry I'm really frustrated with this part i have died 100 times at least with out getting past platforms. dieing 10 times is understandable but this part sucks there is no usable cover squad uses their gun like once every 2 min. (to quote Grunt "useless") maybe I'll get lucky soon I hope or I won't ever play this game again or any game for that matter (my xbox is coing close to getting thrown through the window).
My last play through was as a Vanguard. And the last boss mission, on hardcore was like speading peanut butter!
One of our fellow posters, I apologize the name escapes me, and I like to give credit where it is due, pointed out that maxed reave is like unleashing armageddon on your enemies.
So, on my last playthrough, on hardcore (have not played insanity yet) I substituted reave for fortification, and did the following
Reave - max and select 'area reave'
Assault Mastery - max and select 'Champion'
Charge - max and select 'heavy'
shockwave - level3
pull - level2
incid ammo - level2
cryo ammon - levl2
I might be one off, on the lower ones, but the important thing is to max Reave, Charge, and Assault Mastery.
Samara - max Reave - choose 'area weave'
Miranda - max cerberus agent - choose tactician (I think that is the one that gives squad health bonus), also max out slam and warp (choosing the brutal individual versions - the ones that do the most damage to a singe target).
Harbinger never lived much beyond 'this hurts you Shepard..).
From the moment Harbinger appears, launch a simultaneous attack, Miranda (slam or warp), Samara (reave), Shepard (reave) and watch Harbinger turn to dust. Rinse and repeat. At most, he will go down so far as to be easy pickings, a few short bursts of the weapon of your choice. Reave strips an enemy of defenses, first reducing shields, then damaging armour, then sucking life force like there is no tomorrow.
Harbinger rarely survived the first assault, between Samara and I both hitting him with reave, and Miranda hitting him with slam, or overload, he went down. And since Samara and I use 'area reave', any troops caught in the blast took damage as well. My biotics always recovered faster than my companions, fast enough that I could hit harbinger again, with another reave, and watch him dust out.
Can't say the same would work on insanity, I have not tried that level yet.
But on hardcore, Shepard, Samara and Miranda cleaned out those platforms in very quick succession.
Same tactic works on the IFF mission. Only there, I took Samara and Jack (and had jack's shockwave maxed).
Husks and scions were going down. You do have to run in places, and sometimes, if your timing was off, you got gacked. But otherwise, learn 'reave', use reave', reave is your friend, you take care of it, develop it, and it will take care of you.
