Great post, Stoik. Looks like another happy customer. I feel the same way about funnest playthrough on either Mass Effect. So much awesomeness.
In regards to the armor, if you melee half as much as the rest of us, get the melee shoulder pads. Aside from that, since you already beat it, you're good enough to wear what looks best to you.
I tend to melee after every shot with the Evi and every second shot with the Scimitar, but by that time most enemies are basically dead. I probably should be wearing the 25% shoulders so I can kill a little bit quicker, but I've become attached to the red stripe on my right arm...for some reason.
I'm going to start the IFF mission in a few minutes. Husks annoy me more than almost any other enemy (Pyro's hiding around corners and Harbinger being others), so we'll see how I handle them this time.
So far my run is at 36 hours with about 3 or 4 left to go. It's probably a little long, but I like to take my time and enjoy the atmosphere of the best game I've ever played so I do every mission, listen to every conversation, and sometimes just stare out of space station windows at the stars outside. Even so, this run was about 10 hours faster than my Soldier and 15 faster than my first crappy Vanguard. Some of that may have been pause screens, but there is a big difference between how a bull rushing Vanguard handles a fight and how a patient Soldier or a crappy Vanguard handles it.
On a side note, where the hell is Conrad Verner? I don't quite remember what I did to him in the first game, but my character was a goody-two-shoes so I'm pretty sure I took the paragon route. I just can't find the guy anywhere.
