Am I playing it wrong, or did I just find a whole different way to play as a Vanguard, that fit my liking?
EDIT: I use Collector's Assault Rifle - since it looks badass!

Since you picked barrier as a bonus power you will probably like Sentinel. You get better abilities (outside of charge) and if you bring Jacob you have Pull to help set up warp explosions and squad inferno ammo.

I don't see how I can play Sentinel/Adept when I can't have charge!!!
Heck, even playing a soldier/infiltrator you just wish you have that as a bonus power sometimes.

You do know charge is pretty much the best looking, fun, original, and useful biotic power ever.

Welcome to the club. It's called Vaguarditis. We all have it.
ME2 - How do you play your Adept?
ME2 - CQC Infiltrator 3 - Horizon
Those are my two attempts to play an Adept and Infiltrator and I come off as pretty aggressive. It actually makes me a better player in general if you ask me. I find it impossible to just chill behind cover and power spam now.

Oh so that's what I've got, I've been wondering what it was.
Oh and by the way, I wanted to thank thisisme8 for creating this thread (and sinosleep and all the other people who contributed with their vanguard guides). It's been a big help to me and I think I'm having the most fun I've ever had in a game. Cheers!

Aye! I end up cloaking then running up to folks and smashing them. I was wondering since when I was so confident lol!

I finished a insanity run with my vanguard yesterday and i must say it was tons more fun then my adept run on normal =)
Yeah i died twice around every corner, but when your reckless charging into a group ends up killing them all in under 10 seconds is quite the rush. Watching all those speedruns make me jalous though :/ Whenever i try to go that fast i WILL miss a guy and have him shooting my ass right after i charge some other guy. Im not sure if you all just have insane map awareness, or have replayed the section enough to know everything
For fun i redid the suicide mission on normal to see the difference and wow:huh: It feels like cheating. It takes ages (well still seconds, but it feels pretty long
Also tried a soldier and engineer, but they both feel so boring now. I might replay it with a vanguard on new game+ and see if i can do anything better this time around. Maybe i should do it on hardcore to lessen frustration, i dunno =p

The vanguard has consumed me. These guides haven't helped my gluttony for punishment either, they make me want to vanguard more.. shame on all of you

I', not sure i can ever play the game on anything below insanity now, even though i get frustrated plenty whenever i bug out and die in 2 seconds.
Welcome to my world, as soldier/infiltrator/vanguard; I can't go below insanity. Everything else though I may go Hardcore. Either way... It's simply impossible to play a game below Hardcore difficulty because almost all enemies have no protection. Combat becomes tedious because it gets BORING. Heh, tedious and frustrating on a totally different level.
Vanguard teaches you how to play CQC. Sometimes as a soldier I a-rush and charge. Sometimes as an infiltrator I cloak, pop up right next to someone and SMACK! (Infiltrators arent the CQC type - 'apparently'). All this, because after playing Vanguard. You do tend to develop that urge to kill someone face to face.

Lol, I guess I'm infected too, but my Shep is addicted to the Arc Projector drug (Man I love this new weapon)
I made a couple of videos and I assume this is the right place to put a link. Vanguards who don't (yet) like the Arc might want to take a look:
insanity craziness
prison break

Sorry if this is off-topic but does anyone else here really hate the Claymore? Just tried it out on the Collector ship and was completely unimpressed. I think I went through the platform section much easier with the Eviscerator. The Claymore doen't seem to do much more damage than the Eviscerator and it only holds eleven shots, plus it takes longer to reload. Also, I've gone back to the Scimitar from the Eviscerator lately and I'm quite shocked at how good it is.
I love the Claymore, it just feels right charging the fooker and blasting him in the face with the most powerful shotty in the game. I also like Evi, still packs quite a punch and I can effectively melee between shots. Scimitar on the other hand feels like pop-gun to me  (though it is pretty effective pop-gun, I just do not enjoy using it nearly as much as Evi and Claymore)
edit: just dont take me seriously, I am kinda making fun of Scimitar, it is a very good gun, I just prefer Evi and Claymore.

I keep hearing about Claymore one-shotting everything, but at level 30, even basic collectors seem to walk away alive after taking a pointblank shot straight in the face... I've used it for a good while, but i dont like the 1 bullet/reload much myself. On my replay i`m gonna use other guns for sure
Claymore easily one-shots any regular enemies (Collector Drones, Blue Suns Troopers etc.) on Insanity, level 30 char, with Evi it takes one shot + melee.

I got everything upgraded. Guess my aim, and eyes are not as good as i think they are
Dont try to hit their heads with Claymore, aim for the chest, it still one-shot kills them and you are less likely to miss some pellets.

The Claymore is outstading weapon, if I don't take it, when I see some eclipse merc with it die of jealousy, Especially that captain in Miranda's mission. It's so awesome that it should be called gladius.
