That mission is one of the harder ones in the game imo. Too bad once you get that second shotgun upgrade the challenge will be gone :o

Yeah. The challenge doesn't last that long unfortunately. I want Insanity+, not just NG+. Maybe some day...

Muahahaha! I love that song. I've been trying to find something to put it to and it all just fell into place. Now I need a song for part two...

Purgatory was always one of the harder missions for me. Harder than Horizon, in my opinion (damn you, Halo! I keep wanting to say Harvest instead). Purgatory was fairly easy on my insanity Sentinel, however. Maybe the sentinel is the easiest to play insanity with? I dunno. Horizon wasn't difficult either. I HATED Horizon and Purgatory as a vanguard, though. Those levels just do not work for vanguards.

As a vanguard, Tali's loyalty mission offers the worst circumstance. Horizon and Purgatory, on the other hand, are fairly easy for a vanguard: wide spaces and lots of cover.

Really? Those both gave me the worst time as a vanguard. Mostly in Purgatory, it's that last room before the boss. On the plus side, you can charge and skip that fight, for the most part.

Any mission with geth can be easily made easy with AI-hacking. Still remember Legion's loyalty mission, that was a load of hilarity haha

Use squad disruptor for geth(Zaeed). Inferno didnt damage synthetics. All geth missions get easy with this. You could twoshot geth hunters...

I have almost no trouble with Purgatory. Tons of space to charge around, and enemies are spread out in such a way that you can easily escape battle by charging an enemy across the map.

Horizon is easy up until the final fight, and at that point it's either easy if I'm playing properly or tough if I'm taking too many risks.

Guys have you played the suicide mission after getting the 10% biotic damage bonus from the Firewalk pack? It makes a huge difference.
.
Now Samara can take out the entire collector drone barrier and Warp Explosion seens to do the same, they feel even more devastating.
.
obs: I was playing in newgame+

That was hilarious.  Physics in action on that last Legionnaire.

@Padae
Yeah, I did my Sentinel Insanity Collector Ship with Samara using Area Reave and it totally knocks the barriers off the Drones thanks to the 6/6 Firewalker Pack Bio upgrade.

So I've just cruised through the majority of the game faster than I ever have while even doing the Hammerhead missions, but now I've hit a roadblock. I've done absolutely everything prior to the IFF (including Anomalies), but now I'm stuck waiting for Kasumi. It doesn't make sense to recruit someone for a Suicide Mission AFTER that mission is already complete, so I just get to sit here twiddling my thumbs until tomorrow.

Anyone else waiting for Kasumi before beginning/finishing another playthrough?

I am. I'm waiting for her before continuing my Sentinel run, though I'll probably start a soldier in the mean time.

You know I don't use cryo ammo ever. I have my vanguard set up like this:

Incendiary ammo 3

Cryo ammo 1

Shockwave 2

Pull 4 (Pull Field)

Charge 4 (Heavy)

Assault Mastery 4 (Champion)

Reave 4 (Area)

Weapons:

Tempest

Hand Cannon

Katana (I like that it does more damage than the Scimitar)

Vindicator

Cain (Reaper Core, Collosus, Garm, the two mechs on Garrus's loyalty mission, the blue suns chick on Grunt's recruitment, the Geth Prime on Legion's loyalty mission and the Human-Reaper) otherwise the flamethrower for Krogan.

I thought that an Insanity playthrough would be tough with a vanguard... but since I played and beat Insanity first with a NG+ adept... vanguard was a breeze.

I feel my Vanguard bites a lot, LOT harder than my sentinel. For that I tend to rely on taking down the enemy as aggressively as possible, giving little chance to counter. It is hard as hell, but fun as ever.

My Sentinel, however, seems to not kick hard enough to hold back some of the more powerful enemies from overrunning defensive position.

The Sentinal/Vanguard seem to be polar opposites.

Anyone else have tons of trouble on Kasumi's mission? The enemies spawn so close together and the cover just isn't well placed, I died at least twice during every battle in there, probably equaled my death total from the rest of the game altogether.

I ended up using the Locust and the Viper most of the time since Charging was effectively committing suicide, especially during the final fight. Anyone else have the same problems?

Wish I could tell ya. After an hour long download, it failed when verifying the installer. :(

Sounds like the kind of challenge I've been wanting though. I can't wait!

you wouldn't happen to have renamed your MassEffect2.exe to UT3.exe?

I just beat the DLC and it was pretty damn fun. The Locust SMG also seems pretty damn good, but I probably won't be using it much as a Vanguard. The real awesomeness comes from the flash bang, you can have Kasumi throw one into a group of enemies and they can't do anything for 6 seconds. Sadly it is not worth getting on Shepard since the cooldown is also 6 seconds. Probably not better than Warp explosions, but still pretty damn good.

Not me, really. Kasumi's a powerful ally, especially once you get her Shadow Strike really high up there. What level did you do the mission at? I did it at 14 on a painseeker build without a problem. The YMIR mechs caught me off guard though.

Love Kasumi by the way. Totally worth the money.
