The ONE thing that needs to be carried over to Awakening.

This should be standard, it's so helpful and useful, I don't want to have to pay for it again once Awakening is released. I paid for it once before and shouldn't have to again.
Another note; Does anyone know if all your gear in your Party Storage Chest will carry over to Awakening?
Or will it won't and I should sell everything?

I've been playing it on the ps3 so, the mod doesn't do squat for me.TheMadCat wrote...
Well so you know there is a party storage chest mod out there that places it in your camp, so you really didn't have to pay for it. But no, they already said only the gear you have equipped and in your inventory will transfer, the stuff in the part chest will not.
It sucks that I'll have to sell everything then, I really wanted to keep a several items (that I don't currently use when at the end of the game), especially difficult items to get i.e. the Keening Blade/Fade Wall......

I believe you go into Awakenings with an empty inventory but all equipped items stay. So, I don't think that's gonna work mr.MalcadorMalcador The Sigilite wrote...
Why not just get rid of your Health Poultices etc (as you would assume you can get more of them in Awakening) to make room for all the unique items that you want to take through to Awakening? That's what i'm planning on doing.

There's technical reasons why we couldn't grab the party story chest from Warden's Keep. But since you can dump all of your goodies into your inventory save then import that save, you can still bring all your goodies into Awakening.
These technical issues would never have arisen in the first place if you hadn't tried to gouge your fans for the price of a chest :<

So we get to choose which save we are importing, Can we use the post-epilogue save to strip our companions from their equipment so we can transfer them to the expansion? It will still count as a save where you finished the game right, with the decisions carrying over and all?Ferret A Baudoin wrote...

Same here, especially items that were hard to abtain "i.e. the Keening Blade/Fade Wall.Patriciachr34 wrote...
I am a bit of a hoarder I'm afraid. I keep many things for sentimental reasons and because they look nice on, i.e. Warden's Keep armor set, family heirlooms, various other complete armor sets (effort, diligence), named weapons. You just never know what you will need down the road.
Hahaha in fact I kept the Family Sword from the Human Noble origin all the way to the end of the game..

Hmmm... these are good question... if we import our character based on a saved game and we get to bring everything in our inventory, does that include items worn by our NPC party members? Do we bring cash across or should we go on a Supermarket Sweep of Fereldan grabbing the nicest items that we can fit in our cart before heading over to Awakenings? I'm not really sentiment and hope to replace all my current things with new crap but still I wonder. Is there any benefit to holding on to "plot items"... i could never figure out if these "plot items" even counted in your inventory quantity.

You have to unequip items from your companions and leave them in your inventory to bring them into Awakening. Also, lot items can't be taken away other than by doind the related quest which doesn't always get rid of them. There isn't really an need to release them though, they don't take up any inventory space.
I don't know how money works in the transfer to Awakening but I would imagine that you can take it with you(just a guess), I just go buy anything I want and whatever money's left stays in my inventory, if the money doesn't carry over it's not a big deal as long as you buy anything you need first. I learnt this the hard way as one of my AW has to go through the whole Final Onslaught again so she can take Lifegiver into Awakening.

It would make sense since Vigil's Keep will be the new Grey Wardens headquarters.

So... Awakenings is not really an expansion of Dragon Age?
I mean, if it were we would be able to continue from a saved game in DA:O, and simply have added content, correct?
That would mean having all the items and areas from DA:O.
Sort of like a real game expansion, such as Shivering Isles for Oblivion.
Honestly, I will not buy Awakenings if it is a stand-alone, and not an actual expansion. And no, being able to import one character with inventory is NOT an "expansion".
