I downloaded disc one unto my x-box's hardrive but I still need to insert the disc to play that part of the game. whats up?

Because that's how it works. The benefits to downloading the game to your HDD is faster loading times and the disc not spinning as much.

it requires the disc so u couldnt go out and rent a game put it on your hardrive and have it forever..alternatively so u couldnt borrow from a freind and do the same.. it cuts down on piracy issues.. although piracy will always be around.. i prefer to get everything legitimately because tbh its less hassle and less issues / chance of viruses.... not to mention why not support the companies that make great games....

FYI you should install disc2 as well, or if you don't have the HD space, remove disc one and install 2 once you make a save after swapping to disc 2.
