What if the your LI in Mass Effect 2 gets pregnant and is having a baby in ME3? You will then have the burden of a potential child and have to save the universe and maybe at the end make a choice where you will either have to sacrifice yourself to save the world or possibly send another team member to their demise or could a team member decide to save the world ie sacrifice themselves in order for you to be with your child or LI? Now it really depends who your LI is of course, to date it seems Miranda is the leading candidate but Tali is still an option. Jack can ****** off since she seems to dramatic and has homicidal tendancie's. As with cinema, this would be epic in that what if you have to choose between the world or greater good or being around to watch your child be born. The LI could be another option whether to live or die? Just a thought.

I think after the Mass Effect Trilogy, we should have no more "greater than thou" crap. Shepard is "The Man", but I want to play some Han Solo-esque street urchin that grew up on Omega and has to smuggle red sand and other illegal commodities.

There are a lot of people on this thread who seem to think Liara can't get pregnant by FemShep. You people need to go back and do some reading...

Ok, let me say this. This isn't about interspecies romance. Its about a baby in general. Now this may or may not be interesting, but it going to pretain to Mass Effect 3. The only interspecies alien babies aloud in this are with human and asari.

Now if you remember bioware told us that you would see. Your character romance from Mass effect one in number three. Well lets put it this way. (One more thing sorry ladies this is only for the Male Shepards.) Liara can have babies with a human so immagine in Mass effect 3 you come back and you find out Liara had a daughter with you? What do yo think of this?

Also lets say this that Ashley even though you slept with her in Mass Effect one ended up pregnant and didn't tell you about it so she's so shocked to see you on horizon and working for cerberus she forgot to tell you she had your love child, so when you get into Mass Effect 3 you find out your a daddy. How do you think this would effect the story in ME 3.

Plus I think if you cheated on either one of them and found out they had your baby. How do you all think they will react to it plus then telling you by the way. Your a daddy and then seeing your baby in ME 3.

Ok for the female shepards. You could have a baby with liara. This would definitely give you some spice to your cooking pan. Posted Image

Woah I think I'm on to something here!

if ashley had my kid and im still with tali.... screw the kid...  tali 4 ever

Not necessarily, being dead makes some things hard to notice. :P

FemShep: I'm not working for you anymore TIM!
TIM: *Pulls out baby* Look what we found when rebuilding you!
FemShep:  Noooooooo!

::thoughtful look:: How about, as a result of Shepard's breaking ties with Cerberus, TIM decides it needs a Shepard replacement. Shepard comes across a Cerberus base in ME3 only to find a toddler cloned from Shepard's DNA (as thoughtfully harvested while they were rebuilding him/her), on the fast-track to adulthood like Grunt. Shepard rescues the kid before it can get to full maturity (and thus become brainwashed by TIM), and then he/she and his/her love interest raises the child as their own! ... No? :P

@Azkit: It still messes it up for anyone that didn't romance Liara. Unless Liara brainraped Shepard and has the child regardless. They wouldn't add a plot point that huge that only works for Liara romancers.

I skipped most of the posts to comment on this one:

You get the cloned shep, who just happens to be a teenager, and it's a male clone (even if your a femshep, it's possible in the ME universe, as Miranda is more or less a clone of her father if you ask about it). He aged rapidly, so Male shep and Mirande get together, and MaleCloneShep gets together with Miranda's Sister.

Great Symmetry - Genetically engineered super soldier gets with genetically engineered Cerberus women and turns her. Women's twin (Basically her clone, given that she is identically gentically to a grown women) get's with clone of super soldier.

Oh, I could see it. The kid is the off spring of liara and shepard and no one knew about it because of Aria. Liara paid her hardcore to keep the kid hidden. This child is then raised like you explained. Only to then find out the legend of shepard is always. Whos your daddy shepard, but sense the child is Asari. She is now 150 and shepard has long sense pasted away. Your mother liara is out there, but you didn't know. Some how you manange to get on Aria's bad side and it becomes a fight for your life. You join a band of mercs. As you run from Aria a strange Krogan comes across your path. Noticing certain patterns in your behavior this Krogan says you acted like shepard. You then start your story with Grunt and find your way to liliam where you find your mother who reveals your truth. You are the daughter of Shepard. Posted Image

I really like this idea, especially since I'm a die-hard Male Shepard/Liara fan. But it would have to be optional for the players who wanted it, and not for those who don't. Like at the beginning of the game, you chat with Joker or some odd romantically-neutral player, and answer the question, "What about you commander? Ever think of having kids?" Your answer: Paragon= your LI is pregnant/ had the baby. Neutral = either no baby by default [because something like that can't be default, ordinary players would get pissed] or = 50/50 random chance. Renegade = absolutely not/ "I hate kids." There. Done. Fans get what they want, and it could be pitched as one of the major, game-changing choices.

Now, Fem-Shep could have a baby on her own with Kaidan/Jacob, but it would have to be towards the end, since she gets into a LOT of combat. Sheps who chose incompatible alien partners knew what they were signing up for. Only human/human and human/asari will ever yield a baby. Deal with it.

Acck! I was just thinking about this!
But my theory was a *little* different...

For a maleshep, ashley/liara did get pregnant but lost the baby during the collector attack.
Same applies to femshep if she romanced kaiden; but when cerberus found fetal matter in her fried uterus they decided to keep it confidential and not tell her.

Far-fetched, I know, but it would make for a potentially interesting plot twist.
...But... the whole baby idea is still a tiny bit 'jump-the-shark' for me.

Kids/baby & LI starting a family in the epilogue to ME3; this way there is no screwing up the main game.

I buy this. Yes, even for FemShep, who is so chock full of awesome, she made Kaidan pregnant.

Maybe FemShep is like a Reverse Asari.

She can get any other species of any gender pregnant.

I could see your view points as an option for this to happen I would just love to hear shepards reaction and I'm saying either one of them.

Joker: Oh, by the way shepard. You got a message coming in its from liara/ashley it seems your a daddy now. Well what do you know. (laughing)

Shepard: Renegade: That ****.

Shepard: Paragon: I'm gonna be a daddy? (Scratches head)

For the femsheps

Joker: So commander are you going to tell Kaiden/Jacob or do I have too?

Shepard: Renegade: Don't tell them that way they are stuck paying child support later on!

Shepard: Paragon: Yeah, I will tell them I hope they will be happy!

If Bioware made my female PC get pregnant in any way, shape or form, I would send them a nice tasty box of cyanide cookies.

YOU HEAR THAT BIOWARE?! CYANIDE COOKIES!

I'm sorry, but this is just funny and I have to laugh. :D

Yes, while producing offspring is in our genes, thus always suggested without second thought, it would not fit well into ME3.

My Shepard isn't the mommy type. And seriously you died like 2-3 months after Ilos, the embryo wouldn't even be viable.

BUT - TIM could have used your genetic material to make a new baby Shepard much like how Miranda and Grunt were made.

Now that would be interesting.
