Having an issue with doing local posts from the level editor. I believe it's an issue with the install of the Toolset itself, as no matter what I change or how many level layouts I create, I always have the same issue. If there's any way to achieve a fix WITHOUT reinstalling the game and editor that would be grand (because otherwise I will wait, as I have yet to finish the main campaign, and I believe Steam deletes savegames when you uninstall).

Mien logs look like zis:

All help is much appreciated!

I have now done a full reinstall, with no change in the errors that I am getting when I try to post to local.

Though why it couldn't find the directory it was expecting is odd. It looks like you're logged in as administrator. Does a game install usually create the <my docs> subdirectories for the administrator account?

I'm not sure how that works on windows 7, which is why I couldn't figure out a way to fix it myself. I think there is a separate Documents folder INSTEAD of My Docs on W7.

This is compounded by the fact that I'm running everything in a virtual machine on emulation under Snow Leopard, so I have no idea what windows file structure is SUPPOSED to look like.

Update: This is the location of the Bioware\\Dragon Age folder: <\\\\.psf\\Home\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age>

However, I bought it on steam, so the actual application is inside the steamapps\\common\\Dragon Age folder.

This was what I was getting at - it looks from this line:

Checking for new files on 'C:\\Users\\ADMINI~1\\

like you are logged in as administrator rather than just running the toolset as administrator. I'm not sure that the game installer normally creates the necessary subdirectories in the admin account's <my docs> directory (documents on win7 is the equivalent of my docs on earlier windows, sorry for the confusion). However, as it "helpfully" doesn't say what intermediate directory it was looking for, I'm not sure at what point it is getting confused. :(

Well, I created a standard user account after you mentioned that and tried compiling there -- again, nothing. Same set of errors, in fact, though I believe it simply checked for new files on "C:\\Users\\Username\\"

I think I may have solved the problem, and will update with news as I do. The issue appears to be that Parallels (the Virtual Machine) was saving files to a "network drive" that was actually simply my main OS X drive but through some bizarre shared-folder. I BELIEVE that the toolset got very confused when encountering this file path. Hopefully, by turning off that folder and rebuilding (reinstalling, etc.) the toolset things will be set aright.
