Seems Blogs and News outlets all over are reacting negatively to Bioware’s comments. Honestly, you can’t win though, Mass Effect’s Sex scene was something you’d see on regular television not even Cable and of course people over reacted.

It seems in the Mid 2000s were a decade of censorship in gaming. I remember in the mid 90s fans all over were crying out to stop censorship in gaming and often at times releasing games on the SNES and retranslating them and porting them on the PC for the additional scenes and dialogue and that’s just what that age was about.

After the Hot Coffee Scandal it seems gamers were willing to be pushed around. Excellent games like Fahrenheit/Indigo prophecy were self censored here in the U.S (Which lead to the gaming being pirated big time until they released the Directors Cut over the Internet) same with Fallout 3.

I think it’s time the industry needs to push hard against this group of people who want to treat us like kids. Gamers as a majority are now adults, like the Australian people are crying for, is fairness and their motto seems to be, “treat us like adults!.”

Seriously, most games made are Mature Games 17 and up. I think its time AO games or versions need to be released. Steam is out there and right now they are an industry leader in PC gaming we as gamers need to demand to be taken seriously and treated like adults. It’s not that we want too see breasts or sexual acts but I like too be immersed in an emotional game that doesn’t hold back.

Anyone who has played Fahrenheit knows what I am talking about. I am not talking about the Indigo prophecy U.S version but man how gripping and powerful that game was. Its also said that the developer had to put out a major press release they won’t be censoring the U.S Version so everyone doesn’t import the European Version or find a European Version Torrent of the game.

Treat us like adults, Bioware and we will support you!

Oh and just to add, for those who haven't been to gaygamer.net, it's one of the best sites out there. I am a Right Winger and I simply love the site, best gaming blog out there.

Wow, if this place isn't considered friendly, I wonder what they think of the WoW forums.

So the reason they don't find these forums friendly is...?

Biowares explanation against a gay comm. Shepard? The amount of trolls on here?

They should see the Infinity Wards if they want to see the ugly internet...

Maybe it was the author of the article who received that response from Woo (which I personally see no problem with) and, still sulking, decided to take revenge.

As far as official forums go... honestly this is among the very few official forums with an ecosystem that still supports sentient life (most only have unicellular organisms). The other one I know would be the Paradox forums, but that's understandable.

Good to see another Paradox forumite over here! :)

And surely you´ll call them intolerants and bigots too... Right wing means nothing by itself; it can range from theocratic goverments to "laissez faire, laissez passere" liberals.
As surprising as it may sound, not them all are homophobes, you know...

Sarah Palin. She's so unfathomably stupid that she can't even make a cheat sheet on her palm correctly, and had to
cross out "Budget Cuts" and revise to "Tax Cuts". Anyone that would consider voting for her is unfathomably stupid.

This is not the most friendly place on earth? Well, let him come here, I'll show the bloody thing that talks ill of us and the devs who's being friendly. I bet he would be all big tears and go for his mommy and cry the whole night. That's right writer, right about this, write without showing your face here! Bah, pathetic, simply pathetic.

i could say the same thing about obama except about tax raises and how his cheat sheet is his entire speech because when talks off the cuff he puts his foot in his mouth. politicians are all morons. it all about finding the one who is least moronic. the looney left and the radical right are the creators of the most moronic politicians. idealogues all, and no substance but to follow a party line regardless of what the people ask for.

I find this forum one of the friendliest and accepting of peoples sexuality and opinions anywhere on the net.usually my outspokenness and standing up for gay, lesbians and trans-peoples get me banned.

What, you're not banned yet? How's that...

And serious note, I too find this forum very accepting and fair. There's not even that many trolls. One of the best forums around, period.

i read through woo's replies in that thread. man, those guys are way too sensitive. man, where's the balance anymore? why can't people speak honestly and not pc and still be considerate of other people's beliefs/lifestyles? these forums are very friendly to all types, not just gay friendly. we have an international community of gay, straight, asian, black, white, hispanic, etc. people who discuss games, argue, nerd rage and pretty much accept that we're all different. why is it that so many in that thread are so put off by woo's comments? they seemed very clear to me. i think sometimes people just want to be offended. victim mentality or something.

If they did so, they never deserved your presence to beggin with.

Any person discriminated in any board due to religious belives (to some extent), sexual preferences, political approaches, ethnic/cultural background or anything comparable is just wasted bites arround the net.

You don't have any credibility when you call Obama a moron. He has a law degree from Harvard.

Most of my professors back in Spain have at least two Ph.D´s and that does not make them inteligent people.

Those degrees are only papers. They do not guarantee that the person is intelligent.

Get a Fulbright scholarship and write a thesis in your second language, then tell me.

Try writing a dissertation for a doctoral degree in quantum physics then tell me how much intelligence has to do with it. Go back to your managerial position at Wal-Mart and keep telling yourself that degrees are only papers, KneeTheCap.

I wish to add to the rage. Was anyone aware that George "the big W" Bush holds a degree from both Yale and Harvard. His highest being the MBA from Harvard.
