Hi, I have the spanish version of mass effect 2, well I'd finished the game, but sometimes
the character when it is very near a wall, its go up to the air above the wall.
one time I saw this in the ship, the character go above the space panel control after sprint,
other bug I saw was in the last mission, I stayed near a wall and the chara start to fly in the air!
and I had to make once all the mission.
Its have to be some type of collision error or something.
mass effect 2 (bug that makes shepard fly)

I get this a lot, pretty annoying. But not game breaking. Hope they will fix it some time.

Bug still there. Just got Mass Effect 2 as bonus for buying Dragon Age 2 and have it at least once every 30 minutes. Can reload nearly every time(can be fixed by talking to someone and so triggering a conversation, the player is then "ported" back, like on the bridge near Yeoman Kelly but not possible during missions, firefights etc.). So i guess it will never be patched. What a shame

I almost never have this problem while others get it constantly. It relies on your play style. If you go into cover by pressing space when you're near the object you want to cover behind this bug happens more frequently than when you sprint towards cover.

I also get this problem now and then. I got the Mass Effect 2 bonus as well so I've just been recently playing. Sure makes lots of quicksaving a good idea, but then it already is.

I've had the issue happen even while passing nearby ground clutter. Given that the game is over a year old, I'll have to surmise that no patch is forthcoming. Word to the wise... Save early and save often.
Edit: Found a work around here (but still...)

On the PC version of ME2 you can add a binding (in Coalesced.ini) for a "noclip" function. I've used this a couple of times to rescue my player from floating.
[SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault]
Bindings=( Name="NumPadFour", Command="Ghost" )
Bindings=( Name="NumPadFive", Command="Walk" )
"Ghost" allows the player to walk away from the area that has a floating error, "Walk" puts the player back on the ground when you get to a safe place.

Harmless? Maybe, unless you're going through an area where you can't save. Then, maybe not so much. It happens to me on a semi-regular basis.
Still, since I didn't actually pay for the game, I guess I can't complain too much about a known year old bug that was never patched. I'm just running through ME2 while waiting for Bioware to release the 1.03 patch for Dragon Age 2 (sometime next month **rolls eyes**).
Edit: Come to think of it, I really only purchased Dragon Age 2 to give me something to do until either the next DLCs for Fallout: New Vegas came out, or Skyrim was released.
