Wolves are pack animals. The average wolf pack can be anywhere from 10 to 30 wolves with an alpha male and female. Believe or not wolves plan out their attack and every member has a part to play. Each individual member is weak in comparison to a bear, but get 5 or 6 in a corrdinated attack and the bear is going to back off. Overwhelming numbers and relentess pursuit is how wolves work.
Yes you can kill a dragon, but a swarm of anything (bees, rats, ants etc.) will leave you dead and probably do it faster than the dragon. One bee no problem (unless you are allergic), but hundreds of bees getting into your armor and stinging, Death is almost assured.
I find it interesting that BioWare left out the killer bees or ants. You had a few rats in the Human Noble origin.
What would you rather see:
Here lies the Grey Warden killed by the High Dragon.
or
Here lies the Grey Warden done in by a colony of ants.
