Does anyone else wish they could allocate Squad Points while on the Normandy rather than only when selecting squad members before a mission? Of course, I might just be blind and completely missed it. I know there is a weapon's locker, but I didn't see a similar thing for squad points. I just think it'd save a lot of time if this could be done in one location rather than having to hop on and off the Normandy.

Best Wishes,
Joseph

I agree. I found it annoying. But then I'd also have liked some training room/VR simulation on the Normandy where we could actually test abilities in action.

Nice idea for DLC .

Yes, it was annoying in ME1 not being able to access team abilities on the Normandy. In ME2 when I saw the Team Status option on the captain's console, was hoping that they'd added this function, but unfortunately not.

Ended up making pointless repeat trips to planets just to update my team's abilities.

Agreed. It was stupid in ME1 and it's stupidin ME2. Come on, it's an easy fix, Bioware.

Screw waiting for ME3, this is good Cerberus Network DLC material.  There's still room on the ship to place it.  Take the observation deck that Samara isn't using, or put it on the same floor as the captain's cabin except behind the elevator instead of in front of it.

The functionality already existed in Dragon Age anyway (training/equipping, not testing) so should have been pretty easy to just make it when you opened the squad menu on your ship you could cycle through all your squadmates, not just you.

Wouldn't be too different from the Pinnacle Station DLC from ME1.

Yes, that would have been so much better.

I tend to want to be sure that my crew is at their full potential at any time, because you never know when you are going to need all of them. So, whenever I notice that crew members have new squad points I want to check whether I should assign those points to useful abilities. The only way to do this is to take two crew members off of the Normandy, assign squad points, and then return to the Normandy to repeat this for the next two crew members... With a lot of loading time in between.

For example, just to assign squad points to 5 (or 6) crew members you have to go through all this:
- go to Omega [------------ Loading ------------]
- choose two crew members and assign squad points
- go to Normandy [------------ Loading ------------]
- go to Omega [------------ Loading ------------]
- choose two crew members and assign squad points
- go to Normandy [------------ Loading ------------]
- go to Omega [------------ Loading ------------]
- choose two crew members and assign squad points

By the time you get up to 10 crew members this gets very, very, very annoying.

Not nearly as annoying as people resurrecting year old threads...

How about you just "Select New Squad Member" instead of returning to the Normandy.
- Go to Omega/Illium/Tuchanka/Citadel (Loading)
- Select squaddies and assign points
- Select New squad members, being up menu, assign points.

- Select New squad members, being up menu, assign points.

- Select New squad members, being up menu, assign points.

- Select New squad members, being up menu, assign points.

- Select New squad members, being up menu, assign points.

Only 1 loading screen to go through.

I believe it is considered better to use the search function and add to an existing thread than to start a new thread about the same topic.

It would already have been much better if that were possible, but unfortunately that does not work. When you select new squad members you will not get the "assign squad points screen"  you will only get the "change weapon loadout screen".

It works fine. You apparently missed the "open menu" step in there.

Such threads tend to get locked.
