This is a problem I run into as well. What I have done while in my Personal Profile Page is actually hit 'refresh' several times and it will update. Try doing it while you are actually logged in while playing the game. I am on level 17 at the moment but my profile page still shows 15. However my 'Story" area "Skills', etc. are current after I refreshed. That bit is quite frustrating but it will eventually update if you keep trying this.

Trying to get my profile to update as we speak. Does't always work that well; takes some time.
