On a quick note, I'm going to point out that I had never played me1 when I first purchased and played me2, but after playing me2 I enjoyed the game so much, I had to buy me1 and play it. I played me 1 twice before going back to me2. Now having said that, me1 is fresh in my memory....

Liara was my LI in me1, getting to know her, shepard asks about her past. she says she is a pureblood (both Asari as parents), and that she didnt know anything about her father. There happens to be a female Asari bartender on Illum that says she had a pureblood daughter, and she was the father. But that the relationship didnt work out. She is also a Matriarch like Be****a was. Could she be Liara's father?

Also if you purchase some drinks from that bartender and then talk to her, her appearance is changed alot...I know your drunk... but I wonder if there is more to that... with her claiming to be a "father" of a pureblood. Does she have some illusion up?? anyways I was bumed about not having more interaction with my LI from me1, but maybe we will get some DLC for her. It would be a shame to go a whole game without your better half.

Also, I plan on making a longer post about this later, but like I said, I started with ME2 before ever playing ME1. After playing ME1 and going back to ME2.... wow just wow, there is alot more content/encounters from loading a saved ME 1 game. They are not game breaking, but man.... thats pretty cool how the games interact with each other. Anyway I'll post more on that later.
