I am willing to bet money that as soon as Mass Effect Redemption is done, they'll release it and hopefully bring an end to that side story.

We'd love to see it.  This story definitely need more to it and I'm far too impatient to wait till ME3 to get some proper Liara fanservice.

PC players have found several files that have words like Liara, DLC, and lead in.

We need a thread for this, if only to gather evidence or the lack thereof for the DLC.

So yes, 'source?' and as much of it as possible.

Pretty sure it's just speculation. They are releasing the Hammerhead first I think.

If you're a PC player, go into the CookedPC folder and search with the keyword Liara. There are a couple files.

yeah, but Kasumi was speculation for a long while. I don't really believe it exists myself, but it would be -good- if it does.

I found this file: 'twrhub_liara_dlc_lead_in_d_S_INT' and then there is this file 'BioD_TwrHub_504LiaraDLC.pcc'.

There are also Kasumi files.

If its an actual Liara DLC, as opposed to some s#!tty quest about mercs or some such, where she is merely the assigner, I will get it. But I will have to spoil myself first, to make sure its not just more wrecking of her character.

curious. _first_intro, _norm_intro and _lead_in.

would seem to suggest the framework is there..

Interesting.
Too bad Bioware won't say anything.

Well it would be a good idea to release a Liara dlc. I think alot more could be done with her.

I doubt Liara DLC will come out before the end of the Redemption comic series. So thats April at the earliest.

Yeah I need this. Liara needs the DLC or I will go into involuntary convulsions...

I'm not seeing that happening, because by finishing her personal vendetta in ME2, even during a DLC, that kind of takes away her reason for not joining your crew for the mission.

I don't really see a resolution to her situation until ME3.

There's a fairly obvious premise there for the DLC, given she -is- an information broker.

not unless she herself gets captured and taking captive prompting Sheperd to make a rescue. That would own totally IMO!

Liara DLC makes sense because she is the only ME1 squadmate other than Garrus or Tali guaranteed to be alive in ME2. I wouldn't expect Ash/Kaidan/Wrex DLC, but it is a good opportunity for continuity in the trilogy to utilize Liara to her fullest.

Hopefully getting her off Illium will get some of that Benezia out of her system. She sounded like such a cornball saying those things, she reminded me of Conrad Verner...

Liara: "Y'know, you'd do me a favor if you went to planet X, killed person Y, and brought me evidence Z."

/ Okay, give me the coordinates.
- Maybe later.
\\ I should go.

Travel to a planet or two -> shoot enemies -> hack terminal -> mission completed screen.

Bottom line: If BioWare a) doesn't bring back a little more imaginative gameplay and B) doesn't mention the romance, I wouldn't bother.

Yes, this is what I'm afraid of. Bioware will sell it as a "Liara DLC", when she really has relatively few lines (that were already recorded during the main production) and appears during the bookends of some useless "go kill this ev0l merc commander who works for the Shadow Broker" quest. And her appearances will be just more of the same blather about the Shadow Broker and her "friend".
