I never did buy the whole... We didn't include the ME1 love interests in ME2 because they'e busy and we don't want them to die.
If that was the case then why allow romances in ME2 at all?
Afterall, they can all die too.
I don't care if this post brings about hatemail from the Talimancers, but to me at least the ME2 romances are just placeholders. The real love story of ME is Shep with Liara or Ashley/Kaiden. Those characters, particularly Liara due to her devotion to Shep, whether romanced or not, are far more important for the overall narrative and their fates cannot be left to player sloppiness.

Yeah, sounds logical, since the BioWare Devs, like, confermed it.NKKKK wrote...
I am willing to bet money that as soon as Mass Effect Redemption is done, they'll release it and hopefully bring an end to that side story.
She'll propably have some new lines and will ask you to kill the shadow broker or something. I mean don't get your hopes up to high, I just think she won't be a squadmember (or she'll be a squadmember for just one mission, like Wilson was).

The more I think about the ME1 LIs, the more I think that wether they're LIs or not, Bioware are going to give them major parts in ME3.
The only true explanation that I can think of, they are going to be so integral to the overall plot of ME3 that they couldn't risk them not surviving.

My Shepard would kill Liara and Ashley and not give a flying crap about it because he is in love with Miranda and Miranda is a better woman than those women from the first game.

We'd love to see it. This story definitely need more to it and I'm far too impatient to wait till ME3 to get some proper Liara fanservice.
Aww, damn!
Someone stole my avatar. I was feeling so original, too.

He's had it for a while now
I'd use it too if I had Dragon Age for PC and was able to do it. It's a good avatar.

Gosh darnit. Now I'll have to one-up myself with another cutesy Liara avatar.
I don't mind though, but the pursuit of originality is an honorable quest... Or something like that.

It's always nice to have some originality, just remember if people start using it, it's because you did good work! And if you want to have the only one, you'll just have to keep being original

Seeing as to how my shep was lonely all throughout ME2 it would be "full-filling" to say the least.

The only thing I'm worried about is the change that may bring to the romance options in the second. I hope it doesn't ruin your new love interests. If she doesn't keep hounding you for "cheating" on her, and acts normal, then I'll be happy. Otherwise, she'll have to stay behind I'm afraid.

though were she to tag along as a non-squad team member there is still a few places to shove her....like the commanders loft >.>

If the DLC is only about filling in more of her story that goes with the comic I'll pass. But like I said, if it has both, well DAYUM! Imma buy it!

Originally I was a Kaidan (coughCarthcough) fan, but I've pretty much tossed him for Liara. She is adorable. Even if she's "barely a child" and I question the legality of finding her attractive.
I'm reading the Redemption comics, I'm waiting on the delivery for #3 so I can't speak for the events in that one. I'm hoping that 3 & 4 will give us some more insight into Liara, ESPECIALLY her personality change. I can say though, that she seems to have a more eh... how should I put it... brotherly-sisterly relationship with Feron, rather than an OMG I WANT IN YOUR PANTS relationship. So I'm willing to bet my life that she really does view Feron as just a friend, and that he's not the reason she's a **** in ME2 (I say that with love). Redemption only covers the fight to get Shepard back, who knows how much other crap she's had to deal with, like establishing some magical network of contacts on Illium. That can't be easy. She's been thrown from quiet, archeaological life to tagging along with some human and saving the galaxy. That's gotta do something to your personality.
Now, I'm not saying I particularly liked this emotional wall she put up, but I'm saying I can understand it. I can see being totally lost if you hadn't romanced her, you'd miss the whole two seconds where she breaks down for a minute and gets all weepy.
SPOILER
Now to me, Mass Effect 2 was kinda like... Mass Effect 1.5. There wasn't really much mention of Reapers, it was all just blah blah collectors blah blah save people oh hey look a giant terminator. I liked it, but it felt more like it was just setting up the path for ME3, and they threw in some romances to taunt us. So I really don't know how they would implement something significant into DLC. I also found ME2 to be rather short. Maybe it's because planet exploring got replaced with planet scanning X_X I mean I've played ME1 like, way too many times, and most of those were some pretty thorough play-throughs. I think part of the problem was the level cap in ME2. I was fully leveled so early, I had no desire to tackle most of the sidequests.
On one hand, I'm craving some Liara interaction other than just "go hack some terminals for me luv u bai." So if they would do some kind of DLC, I'd like something extensive and well-thought out, especially if we're paying for it. If it's free, well then I don't really care what they do. Free is free.
On the other hand, I'd almost prefer to wait for ME3 to roll around before we get some more interaction with our ME1 loves. As long as the game is more about Reapers and saving the galaxy, rather than fixing everybody's personal issues. I liked the loyalry missions, but I would have rather been doing somehting more... important, for lack of a better word.
So, in short, I'd absolutely love some Liara DLC, but I can understand why they might wait until ME3, and I'm ok with that as long as it's a long, epic, and satisfying game.
And I mean long. Like, it takes me two weeks to finish. Better yet, Baldur's Gate-long. Baldur's Gate without console commands-long.
Sorry if this was tl;dr, but I had to get it out of my system.
Little edit: I did read all the pages before posting, yes, I know Kasumi is going to be a DLC, I'm aware that having DLC for one old character is silly, I didn't make this post blindly.

And also, they have stated that Liara will be prominent in ME3. They are not going to make a DLC just for 'one' old character, can you imagien the **** storm that will appear if they did and didnt do one for kaiden and or Ash too?
she had a small role for a reason. She has more stuff in Redemption. deal with it. When are you people going to get this into your heads?

Yeah, that **** storm would probably bring down the boards.

There are apparently some game files that aren't currently in use, much as with this Kasumi character. That and some cryptic dev comments have been taken to imply that after Redemption is out in its entirety, there is going to be a tie-in DLC. It's all very speculative at this point, but not entirely baseless.
