I'm not seeing that happening, because by finishing her personal vendetta in ME2, even during a DLC, that kind of takes away her reason for not joining your crew for the mission.

I don't really see a resolution to her situation until ME3.

I would assume it wouldn't unlock till after the suicide mission is complete.  At least that would be my take on it.

Could you guys see if anything involves DLC and Shadowbroker? My bet is we help her with him

I doubt it's going to be drastically character changing given it IS DLC and not part of the main game, but something that offers insight on her choices and experiences before the events of ME2 I can see happening.

..or the aforementioned random merc mission.

that too.

There's a fairly obvious premise there for the DLC, given she -is- an information broker.

Yes, this is what I'm afraid of. Bioware will sell it as a "Liara DLC", when she really has relatively few lines (that were already recorded during the main production) and appears during the bookends of some useless "go kill this ev0l merc commander who works for the Shadow Broker" quest. And her appearances will be just more of the same blather about the Shadow Broker and her "friend".

That, I would not bother buying it.

I just want to get Liara back on the Normandy where she belongs.

I'm tired of staring at her photo.

I want to stare at the real thing.

Sitting on my lap.

So let's go put a bullet in the Shadow Broker and end this "dark second act" already.

Liara: "Y'know, you'd do me a favor if you went to planet X, killed person Y, and brought me evidence Z."

/ Okay, give me the coordinates.
- Maybe later.
\\\\ I should go.

Travel to a planet or two -> shoot enemies -> hack terminal -> mission completed screen.

Bottom line: If BioWare doesn't a) bring back a little more imaginative gameplay and B) doesn't mention the romance, I wouldn't bother.

Yeah. The real selling point would be the unique armor and heavy weapon you get from the ev0l Blue Suns commander Y, who has the evidence UnLiara wants.

Agreed it would be a nice way to transition into ME3, put the "darkness" behind us by helping Liara do the same and of course with added smexytime with everyone's favorite blue alien LI.

I don't mind the changes. Hell, I don't mind how they handled Liara in 2.

The writing just failed, badly. A poor attempt at something that could've been so much better.

Now if they indeed give us Liara DLC, I'm betting they will at least add the love scene that all ME2 LIs get after the game has been beaten. But I prefer a new scene to break monotony. No need to rehash the same love scene. So I'm hoping for some Liara lovin and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Then again, any Liara DLC is as good as bought, even before I get specifics on the content. what can I say, I am her slave..

They made her a big player in a field for which she seemingly had no aptitude far too quickly.

The shy archeologist maiden asari becoming a hardened underworld type with extensive contacts in less than two years, powerful enough to have the frigging Shadow Broker seemingly worried?

Not buying it for a moment. Poorly played by Bioware.

Couldn't care less, really. certainly not enough to swoon over the character. I've played bioware games long enough to know they've got -something- planned, and until ME3 is revealed to be a giant screwup in regards to Liara and Ash/Kaidan I'm going to wait patiently.

I want things to go that way, even surrounded by all the new LI's every time I go to the loft and see her photo I think Liara>everyone.

I picked Liara as my love interest in ME1 but was pretty disappointted that she comes off as a totally different person in two (from ultimate do gooderto shady murderer). Wish i could go back and pick ashley instead now.

Having Liara DLC would be awesome - she was my romance in the first game and I didn't "cheat" on her :P Hope I get some sort of prize or something for it :D

The 'prize' is theoretically what happens in ME3 in regards to Liara.

It remains to be seen-and then some- if it's at all worthwhile.

Here's what I'm thinking in terms of DLC plot. i think you will find out through some secondary source that Liara has found the location of the one of the SB's hideouts and is going after him. You and your team arrive just after she has left after only finding some information on his location. Just so BW can appease the combat fanatics, agents of the SB attack you, after finding out why you are going after Liara. You kill them and when you find the final one you "convince" them to give up the location of her next objective. You track her there and find a path of destruction (i.e. dead agents) through the compound. More fighting to appease mainstream gamers. As you crash in through the door of the office of the SB, you find Liara holding him/her (assuming the SB is only one person) up against the wall with biotics ready. She glances over at you, amazed, and turns back to the SB with a vengeful look on his face and slams him/her against the wall with incredible force, instantly killing him/her. Preferably this would be in slo-mo as Shepard rushes over to stop her. Crying, Liara collapses against Shepard, unable to cope with the fact that her mission for vengeance is finally over. Shepard comforts her and then the dialog diverges based on if Liara was the LI in ME1. A love scene for those who remained true would be preferable. Afterward, she joins your ship as a member, even if not as a squadie although that would be awesome.

Well, there's my idea, BW, just use it and give us some meaningful Liara material as DLC.

There is an article that talks about dlc happening right after the beginning of the game, but I can't find the link. It is making me mad.

Aha I found it.
http://comics.ign.co.../1005868p1.html

IGN Comics: We know that Bioware is going to be releasing some more
downloadable content for the first Mass Effect that sort of bridges the
gap between that game and the sequel. Is this comic connected in any way
to those stories?

Walters:
Actually, our goal right now is to have the story tie to
some of the downloadable content for Mass Effect 2.
That will probably be coming later next year. I don;t think we have
specific dates yet. It's meant to be standalone in the sense that it
explores something we don't necessarily see in the game, but it is
connected to the game, and in the downloadable content we hope to follow
through on some of the events in the comic.

GN Comics: Where does this story actually fall in relation to the two
games? Is it set in between the two?

Walters:
It's shortly after the opening events of Mass
Effect 2. I can't get into a lot of details on where that is
specifically, but I think people will recognize it when they see it.
