I'd like that as long as I can officially dump her

....Shepard comforts her and then the dialog diverges based on if Liara was the LI in ME1. A love scene for those who remained true would be preferable. Afterward, she joins your ship as a member, even if not as a squadie although that would be awesome.

Well, there's my idea, BW, just use it and give us some meaningful Liara material as DLC.

There definitely needs to be a continuation of the romance this time around, though I'd rather the hunt for the shadow broker be done together.  She would contact you wanting your help and then off the two of you go on a string of missions that uncover everything that happened while you were dead and finding the last clues culminating in a big showdown with the Shadow Broker.  Throughout you would have multiple conversations that reestablish that long dormant connection they shared in ME1.  Then smexy time. :P

To all: Newsflash: Liara is not an Asari, she, rather it, is an evil inter-dimensional demi-god that created the Reapers as a multiverse spanning plot to give the ME universe a plot line...

i woudl prefer the hunt be together but avoiding that would reduce VA usage, making it a more viable choice for Bioware.

that article makes it sound as if they have plans to involve the events of the comics in future DLC for Liara. Or at least reference the events in said DLC.

Its possible that the Liara and Kasumi DLCs are one and the same. Could be just another menu pick for when you ask her about Thane/Samara.

They just sold like two million boxes in a week.  Now is not the time to be skimpy.

(Yes I realize businesses tend to work just the opposite, but as a fan I'd like to see them express their appreciation for that success)

That's the issue. I don't have a big issue with EA but I don't think they would want to put that much effort into DLC. Too bad this isn't Bethesda DLC, you get hours after hours of fully VA'ed, new content that is original and not a copy/paste job from the original game (see Shivering Isles).

Here's the quote...

"Actually, our goal right now is to have the story tie to some of the downloadable content for Mass Effect 2. That will probably be coming later next year. I don;t think we have specific dates yet. It's meant to be standalone in the sense that it explores something we don't necessarily see in the game, but it is connected to the game, and in the downloadable content we hope to follow through on some of the events in the comic."

That is actually very encouraging.  I just hope they challenge themselves to make it really epic.  I also hope that comment was made last year, so that the "later next year" comment means the DLC is coming this year. :pinched:

That sounds like 'post game DLC that has no real relevance to the main plot'.

which would be fine by me.

ME2 had a plot?

If done well and with substantial enough content I'll probably enjoy the DLC more than the core game. ^_^

see, jokes like that are what prompt the devs to put out drek like RtO. combat grind with little other than a few neat items to show for it.

I'll have faith that Bioware will come up with something interesting, and worth my money.

What, my quote was not good enough?

"Mass Effect: Redemption is a four-part comic book mini-series that is being released between January and April 2010. It is set shortly before the opening events of Mass Effect 2, and will be related to downloadable content that will be produced for the game." source - wikipedia shall tell you the truth !

You might want to check the sources for wikipedia which is the previously quoted article.

Oh hell ya bring me back the blue beauty. How can you not love the girl that not only recovered your body but going into full blue ball of rage at the Shadow Broker for trying to sell your body to the collectors.Heck from ME1 everyone was able to move on when you died but not her she loved you to much. That is a girl has your back that is for sure.

Well I always thought it interesting that the Captain's Quarters in the Normandy actually lists the Squadmembers Available to talk to, even if it is listed as "None". Why have this placeholder for the Captain's Quarters if nobody's going to be put in there?

That's a very interesting point.  If you complete the mission and Liara is your LI, she could easily move into the captain's quarters. ("But your ship has no room for additional crew..." "Sure it does - you can stay with me.")  If you took up with another LI, they move into your quarters and Liara gets their old spot.

Or, she could hang out in the sickbay with Dr. Chakwas, just like old times.  (Bonus points if you walk in there and find them both passed out with a bottle of Serrice ice brandy...)
