In Mass Effect 2, every 10 to 15 seconds my weapon is, for some reason, changing ammo types. For instance, I'll have my sniper set to Disruptor and when I go to zoom in I start shooting Incindeary shots. However, when I zoom out the gun automatically switches ammo types. It will be showing the red logo, then switch to blue. So I zoom in, shoot about 3 or 4 shots w/ Disruptor and then it switches to Incid. again. 

What I have done thus far is restart the mission, un-hotkey ammo, restart console, all the basics. I'm not sure what else to do, or if this is just an unsolvable glitch at the moment and just grit my teeth and bare it for now.

Oh, and it happens with all my weapons, not just snipers. As well, it does not affect my cooldowns, so I can still you adrenaline rush, per se, and it will switch while in adrenaline rush mode.

Do you have a squad member turning on his squad incendiary ammo? That was happening to me one level, where he kept turning his ammo off an on and it was messing with mine.

This is why my squad members never get their ammo powers bumped to level 4. Ever.

I have had real problems with breaking cover when changing weapons sometime.

Oh, is that what it is? Squad mates? I'll look into it. Is that because it's considered "Squad Incid" or whatever? And if they already have rank 4, can I possibly redo it?



And @ Trickfred, the problem with breaking cover is if you are holding down the A button plus the d-pad after using the wheel, you'll break cover. Slow down when using the wheel, I know I had to. It kept happening then I'd be blown up by fifty thousand heavies. So, just click what you want. Let the cursor reset to standard pos. and release, all will be good.
