I have an issue with my Product key.

I have a DDE version of DA:O that I downloaded (but did not install), which I was keeping on my HD for someone else.

And a boxed CE version of DA:O that I installed, but it took the Product Key from the DDE version. It did not ask for the product key during the install process at any time.

Is there anyway to change my product Key so the version that I installed matches the one that it is supposed to?

I guess you'll have to insert the key via regedit.

Simply uninstalling and reinstalling should fix the problem. Provided you remove the DDE files that caused the wrong key to be used in the first place.

I am having the same problem, installed a friend's boxed version and then later installed the steam deluxe edition.

I've reinstalled, scanned the registry, even rolled back the registry 1 week..
But somehow that key just keeps reappearing!
I don't know where they hid it, but I really can't find the right place to change it.

Reinstalling windows would be a bit of a drag for just something as simple as a key.

Ok.. I found it in the registry finally. I have 64bit Windows 7 and it was located here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\\\SOFTWARE\\\\Wow6432Node\\\\Electronic Arts\\\\Electronic Arts\\\\Dragon Age\\\\ergc

If its not there on your machine then a search of the registry should work for you. Just search for the cdkey listend in the config without dashes. It's in plain text in the registry. I tested changing it and it worked fine.
