I did, easily. Granted I had no idea that waiting to go into the relay caused your team to die, but luckily I had everything that needed to be done already and went in immediately after their capture.

And luckily I hadn't suffered the random Mordin death a lot of people are getting, so that helped

I got it on my first playthrough with no hints, hintbook etc. I only came to this forum after that to confirm I didn't screw something up. (due to a line Shepard gave about how it cost him crew, when it didnt')

I made most of my choices based on Roleplay reasons in the end mission, which I guess turned out to be a wise way to go.

Pretty much what I did. I didn't even have Jack or Zaeed loyal.

It only matters to the extent that you care. I knew people could die, and when Jacob volunteered at the start, I just let him go into the tubes. His presence or absence from the next game really did not matter to me. Where I f'd up was with Jack, I was trying hard to get her killed and ended up killing an additional squad member too. I finally figured out how to make her my only fatality, so now I am happy.

I never lost Mordin though, and he seems to be one that everyone looses!

I did! But I'm compulsive. It took me a minute to realize that people would have died if I hadn't spent hours strip-mining planets and upgraded every single thing on the Normandy except the Med-Bay.

I knew I was doing the right thing when I put in charge of the other team the man that knows the value of doing everything (and then some) that needs to be done in order to reach your goal - Zaeed. Almost a carbon copy of my (female) Shepard! Only my Jacob died while closing those blast doors. Didn't like him anyway. And that doctor Chakwas... What was she thinking - that I'll endanger the mission walking her back to Normandy? I mean, she knew what she was going into, knew my methods. Oh well, hope I get some more lively doctor replacement in ME3! Asari would be nice, they play well with females.

That was my last achievement I tried over 8 times and realized I was using the wrong first leader

It was actually really easy, just recognise who's you'd trust to lead, who's a good tech specialist and that Mordin is not likely to hold up in a firefight.

No no what I meant that after Jacob, I wanted to get Jack killed, but instead of only Jack I lost Jack and Garrus. When I reloaded to save Garrus, Jack also survived. Was kind of frustrating. Its cool though, now I know how to only lose Jack.

It's really common sense and loyalty tbh.

I had Jack unloyal and just got her to do nothing (stupid Miranda...)

And Mordin escorted the crew, but I doubt he would have died cuz it's supposed to be a time thing and I just nuked and snipered the final boss a few times (then went all like TAAAALIIIII a few times cuz I thought she died).

Oh, I chose Miranda as team leader both times. Didn't think of Garrus.

Legion was my tech guy, couldn't risk Tali ;)

I did, but to be fair I did reload, once. First time I sent Tali through the vents and chose Samara as B team leader and Tali ended up taking a rocket to the face. Unpossible! So I reloaded and instead chose Legion to go through the vents and Garrus as B team leader (why I didn't pick Garrus first since he is like my right arm I have no idea, it was late and I was tired!).

I also made sure I had everyone's loyalty and everything upgraded, even the med bay! And just to be 110% absolutely sure (not that it even mattered) I had at least 50k of every resource and a full tank of fuel.

As an aside, I had Jacob escort the crew back to the ship, not Mordin and Mordin did live for me. I can't seem to find rhyme or reason why some people loose Mordin and others don't.

Sup!

Well, I saw an interview where they told you that not upgrading your ship would have consequences. Thats an official pregame source though, not a forum guide. I would have done it anyway. Vague enough to count!

I got it on the first run although I was swetting bricks during the last boss fight because it looked like one of my party members got shot in a movie scene (wasn't sure if it was squad or Collectors though) but it wasn't the case. Basically did everything before IFF, Legion Loyalty post IFF, went straight away, picked ideal specialists/firesquads and tried to go through all stages of the final mission as quickly as possible after the the first specialist part felt a lot like Thane's loyalty mission.

It took me a bunch of experimenting on the first section of the base assault to get through unscathed. I was planning to just let the chips fall where they may on my first play through but when Tali got capped in the cutscene after sending her through the vents w/ Garrus leading the 2nd fire team, I had to replay and figure out WTH was going on.

The whole idea that No One Left Behind is based solely on personnel decisions, loyalty, and ship upgrades is false from my experience.

With all team mates loyal, all ship, armor, and shield upgrades, all prototypes, most of the weapon upgrades, and "correct" personnel choices, I had to change my dialog response to Miranda after the crash into the Collector base in order to get my tech specialist through alive.

Upgrading the ship seemed like a no-brainer for me. Especially after what happened to the first Normandy. I knew that would be important in the endgame.

I managed it; just seemed to make sense to me who to assign to which role - and the game effectively warns you before hand about building up the team before getting the Reaper IFF. Though I recently had Mordin die on me for no obvious reason.

i did but i didnt even go to the reaper till i had every possible upgrade (aside from what you get on the reaper and legion's loyalty quest) all squad mates loyal (again besides legion) and every side quest done so the only way i was going to lose anyone was to make bad choices and the choices seemed pretty obvious to me
