This is a simple case of the ball being dropped. Jacob is awesome. He just doesn't have a video, and Bioware/EA doesn't have a whole lot of incentive to make one now that the game is already out.

Not calling Bioware racist but I couldn't help but noticed that he is the only one on the web site without a character video. Instead he gets 3 pictures. That is kind of lame since he is only the FIRST person that joins your squad in the game. I also took a look at Dragon Age site and every character on there has a video as well with the excemption of the DLC. Not sure if this was just overlooked or if Jacob just gets no love
That is unfortunate. Jacob is hella cool.
I'm sure 'Ye would approve Jacob's coolness.

Jacob's a dull character. There's not much to him.
Except he has what is probably the darkest loyalty mission in the entire game?
Emotional baggage and muddled pasts do not equate to depth.

I dug the whole Heart of Darkness vibe in his loyalty mission. It was great. It's just that it didn't really seem to make his character any more compelling.

Agreed, and he had the worst loyalty mission imo. So he's my 2nd least favorite crew-member, after Zaeed.Willie_on_Wheels wrote...

Then again, I saw my fiance playing a fem shep and Jacob was MUCH nicer to her lol. Guess he's more interesting if you're a potential bunk-mate.

He was nice to my male shepards, he said he would get loud and spill drinks on the citadel when it was all over... but that was a lie.

For his appearance, I think he is very attractive. He is a very good attempt at a real African American man. I think it is very nice to see Bioware showing diversity in its games. All other gaming companies focus on the Mr. T/Dennis Rodman look a likes. With those hideous "fro-hawks, blonde hair, crazy ridiculous attitudes, whatever, I'm happy Jacob is aboard the Normandy. My male Shep needs a good homie and Jacob is just the guy.
Jacob for me has the good stuff. We going to get loud on the Citadel and have some drinks! Woot.

Jacob's just an angry, frustrated black dude with an absentee father (who'd rather live in a fantasy world then to go home). Yup, alive but didn't care to contact home or to be rescued. A sad commentary on black dads? You bet!

I like Jacob. Most people don't like him because he fades into the background with all the crazy aliens on board. He is much like Kaidan in the way that he is just a regular guy trying to do what's right. I do wish his loyalty mission was better in the way it showed off his inner struggles but overall it was decent.

I like Jacob as a person. His character is just less interesting than it could have been. He's also really not "a regular guy whose trying to do what's right". He works for a very morally questionable organization, (which in the context isn't so bad) but seems so totally ambivalent about it. At no point does he seem to actually question whether or not the terrorist organization he works for might be manipulating him.

And we all know that being a boring NPC is a much greater sin than actually being evil. (Compare Jack)
