And just so I can hone in on your central thesis: because you don't like downloadable content, Bioware is suppose to deprive the rest of us?
RUUUUDE!

If you DON'T like paying 5 bucks for 20 minutes of content, then DON'T. If you feel you MUST, then I have a $20 internet to sell you.

Tell you what. As soon as people stop wanting additional content, who are willing to pay for it, we'll stop making it.pastypus wrote...
Love the game and a fan of BioWare but these TINY $5 downloads suck! Cant wait for the expansion but the isignificant downloads are a waste of money and time. I would rather pay for a good expasion any time instead of these quick and worthless downloads.
Lucky for you, we can do both. There's an expansion coming next month, so if you'd prefer to save your money you can wait for that instead.

Bioware, stop forcing me to buy your stuff at gunpoint.
While I enjoy the little downloads, "just don't buy it then" doesn't really apply here. Producing DLC in small packets does mean taking limited work-hours away from fuller expansions.
I still like the pleasure of having a little bit of extra game more frequently.

Put them all together in a pack an sell it retail as an expansion - brilliant.
o.O
As stated bei Bioware-Officals in other threads earlier, gameplay-fun is not determined by lenght. You don't want it? - Don't buy it. Simples as it is. I will, if that's what I'm supposed to do to ensure there will be several more content for the greatest game in the last 10 years.
Up to now, didn't regret any DLC I bought. Keep them comin' BW.

We want something, you make it. Until someone on a forum doesn't approve.

There are many who enjoy being able to play smaller DLC while we're witing for larger expansions. What a good thing that there's such an easy solution! Don't buy them.

I was going to not buy RtO, but then David Gaider showed up in my toilet while I was puking after drinking too much and told me if I did not buy RtO, my testicles would shrivel in and fall off like rotten fruit.
What I told you to buy was some Sani-Flush and a good scrubber. Geez.

It's funny how we keep completely different scores on what's fair value for our money. For the cost of a beer or a donut and coffee, you get RTO. It's hard to argue that this isn't fair value.
I think some people have a psychological problem with this because full games offer so much better value for money. Of course, games are one of the most cost-efficient forms of entertainment there is.

I can't think of anything I can buy for 5 bucks that lasts 20 minutes...so 20 minutes of entertainment for 5 bucks isn't bad. Now once I buy 3 or 4 it becomes a waste because for the same amount of money I could have gone to a movie, but then I guess I can't see the same movie with the same snacks without paying again so the DLC still wins.
