The game just felt to be lacking that shock and awe value of the first game when you'd uncover clues to the mystery. The only moment I felt really pumped for was when the reapers were descending from dark space on the galaxy and I told the Illusive man, in more words or less, to shove it. And then they rolled the credits...
Personally, I think I time limit would be a cool way to make the game feel more intense. Like you must do A. or B. otherwise C. closes, but you can only do one or the other. Or if you don't do X. quest before Y. event/quest, then it you miss out. And while there is some sign of this being attempted, it's not very profound (in my opinion at least). Now, I understand there would be a LOT of complaints about this, but still, if you think about it, the game always sounds like your racing against the clock, yet you can spend 10 hours on Illium, make Omega identical to the Citadel, have dinner with Conrad Verner and still make it to through the Omega 4 in time.
Any other opinions on the matter?
