Because every self respecting RPGer *loves* reflex based minigames, they make the entire game a jump&run. For every three correct jumps Shepard may perform a special move.
Shep's armour looks like a blue dungaree and the prefered weapon is an element-zero-wrench. It's small mass effect field causes a knockback on hit, but needs a cooldown of 5 minutes after every 2nd use.

the reapers are controlling Shepard - the crew doesn't exist, Shepard stole the Normandy with the help of ''Joker'', a Reaper AI keeping Shep brainwashed. Saren was the good guy, he was trying to stop Shep opening the citadel arms and the subsequent fight distraced shep from completing the task. The collectors are sent out to stop Shepard (who at this point is murdering human colonists under the influence), being the actual good guys, and in the end, Shepard single handedly brings back the Reapers and destroys the Galaxy. As everything is massacred Sheperd realizes the truth and we end ME3 on his/her horrified face, fade to black.



That would suck.





Although removing the paragon/renegade options in convos would be really annoying.
